I Post an article about Blacks Fighting on the side of The South, which is loaded with Documented Evidence, & You with Your shoe size IQ, call me a Racist.
You never grew out of Your Grade School, Playground Mentality did You.
And I'm willing to bet that before You ejaculated Your "Fecal oriented Comment" that You didn't even bother to Check out My Profile.I'm not a "Racist", in fact,... I have several Black Friends, who are Wonderful, Common Sense Filled, Patriotic, Hard Working, GOD Fearing Brother & Sisters who are Capable of "Critical Thinking",..... Unlike Your Sorry Self.
Enslaved Black people with Confederate armies
- Tens of thousands of enslaved Black men were forced to accompany Confederate units.
- They worked as laborers, cooks, teamsters, servants, body servants, and builders of fortifications.
- They were not soldiers: they were not legally enlisted, did not receive equal pay, and were not recognized as combat troops.
Free Black Southerners
- A small number of free Black men supported the Confederacy in limited ways, often under pressure or to protect family or property.
- There is no solid evidence they served in significant numbers as armed Confederate soldiers.
Confederate policy on Black soldiers
- For most of the war, the Confederacy explicitly forbade arming Black men, because doing so contradicted slavery.
- Only in March 1865, when defeat was nearly certain, did the Confederacy authorize Black enlistment.
- Very few were recruited, and there is no evidence they fought in battle before the war ended.
