Are We Born With Morals?

Morals are effectively standards. For any given thing there exists a standard which is the highest possible standard. This standard exists independent of anything else. Standards exists for logical reasons. When we deviate from this standard and normalize our deviance from the standard, eventually the reason the standard exists will be discovered. The reason this happens is because error cannot stand. Eventually error will fail and the truth will be discovered. Thus proving that morals cannot be anything we want them to be but are indeed independent of man and based upon logic.
So gay people are deviating from your standard. And?
What's my standard?
The one you're talking about, what else, lol.
You made a statement like you knew what the standard was. What's the standard?
The one in big blue letters, lol.
What's the logical reason?
According to you, it's this "Standards exists for logical reasons. When we deviate from this standard and normalize our deviance from the standard, eventually the reason the standard exists will be discovered. The reason this happens is because error cannot stand. Eventually error will fail and the truth will be discovered. Thus proving that morals cannot be anything we want them to be but are indeed independent of man and based upon logic."
But it's not logical
Why isn't it logical, Taz?
You assume things as though they are universal truths, which they aren't, and they aren't backed up by anything credible, so again, not proven, simply your personal opinion. Know the difference.
Logic is a universal truth. :)
Too subjective, everyone has their own truth a lot of the time.
If that were the case all behaviors would lead to equal outcomes, Taz.

Do you believe all behaviors lead to equal outcomes?
I see the outcomes being all very different, if everyone has their own truth. Which is what we see today.
The different outcomes are the moral law at work.
Do you make this shit up as you go along?
Nope. If the universe were created through natural process and we are an accidental happenstance of matter and energy doing what matter and energy do, then there should be no expectation for absolute morals. Morals can be anything we want them to be. The problem is that nature does have a preference for an outcome. Societies and people which behave with virtue experience order and harmony. Societies and people which behave without virtue experience disorder and chaos. So we can see from the outcomes that not all behaviors have equal outcomes. That some behaviors have better outcomes and some behaviors have worse outcomes. This is the moral law at work. :)
A lot of people getting in trouble for what they did is because they go against man's laws.

Plus, you have no link that backs up your latest fartsmoke.

It's logic like that that led to people believing they were justified in owning people because they were morally superior.
So you agree that people can have different logic than others. Good for you.
Only one would be correct. :)
No, what may be logical for you may not be logical for me. Different strokes for different folks.

Plus, you have no link to back up this fartsmoke.

I couldn't be happier for people to experience their predictable surprises, Taz.
EVERYONE has bad luck. Nothing is predictable.
That's hilarious that you believe in bad luck. Do you believe in good luck too?
I guess you don't gamble, lol.
You are going to use gambling to argue against cause and effect?

Do you believe that the house is gambling?
Yes, the house just has better odds.
So it's not luck that the house makes money. It is cause and effect. Same thing for moral behaviors. It shouldn't be a surprise to you when you act like an asshole and get the consequences that assholes get.

Some people act like assholes and are adored and rewarded for it. Just look at Trump.

If the universe was created by spirit for the express purpose of creating beings that know and create we would expect that we would receive feedback on how we behave. The problem is that violating moral laws are not like violating physical laws. When we violate a physical law the consequences are immediate. If you try to defy gravity by jumping off a roof you will fall. Whereas the consequences for violating a moral law are more probabilistic in nature; many times we get away with it.

But eventually the law of averages will catch up and predictable surprises will eventually occur.

See? An unlinked-to-something-relevant post is an opinion. That's fine. Just don't think that it's any more than that.

You need a link to know that cause and effect is real, Taz?

At any point in your life you are the sum of your choices, Taz. It's not an accident. It's not luck. You did it to yourself through your actions.

That's typically the opinion of people who have an external locus of control. They don't want to acknowledge that they are responsible for their actions. They'd rather blame it on others or bad luck. That is how you referred to it, right? Bad luck?

I never said that I wasn't responsible for my actions, but what actions did a deformed baby do to warrant such pain?

One step at a time, Taz.

First you need to acknowledge that actions and behaviors have consequences.

To be more specific, do each of us at birth have a predisposition to a certain personality that can be affected by our child rearing. it may not make a difference or make a difference no matter good or not so good parenting..
