Are There Prophets Around Today?

I'm not so sure. I knew one but he passed away in 2007.

The only other two which come to mind are Tenzin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama, I got to see him once in person but security was too tight to actually meet and talk with him, and the Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, but he was kidnapped by the Chinese in 1995 at the age of six and no one has seen him since nor does anyone know if he is still alive.

One other possibility, Baba Ram Dass, Dr. Richard Alpert, just passed away about five years ago.

are who claim them prophets who know they are liars any better or worse than the liar themself.

The Torah commands the construction of the Tabernacle in Parashat Vayakhel, yet it first mentions the Sabbath. Why does the discussion of sacred space begin with sacred time?

The sages teach that the 39 forbidden labors of Shabbat come from the work done to build the Tabernacle. But what deeper connection exists between these two concepts?

Why does the Torah link Shabbat and the Tabernacle? How do they reveal two different ways of experiencing holiness—one in time and one in space?Rabbi Cherki explores how the Temple and Shabbat reflect the same divine reality, just in different dimensions. Shabbat is a sanctuary in time, while the Temple is a sanctuary in space—both revealing the perfect world.

Shabbat is a sanctuary in time, while the Temple is a sanctuary in space

is their physical accomplishment ...

sabbath is what the heavens refereed to as their creation upon its completion - life and garden earth - a type of completion to be kept holy ... the desert dwellers have failed miserably in maintaining from their beginnings to the present day.

Why The Bible Says We're Naked &
The Mission of Humankind

The opening chapters of Genesis offer two seemingly conflicting accounts of creation—one led by God, the other by humanity itself. But how can creation be both a divine act and a human responsibility?

And what does it mean that the serpent and Adam are two sides of the same being?
Could the “serpent” represent a phase of humanity—and the soul a later divine upgrade?

Rabbi Cherki explores Genesis through Midrash, Hebrew nuance, and moral philosophy, revealing that the Torah isn’t about natural history, but the journey toward holiness—culminating in the Eighth Day, where humanity meets the Divine.

No, there are no "prophets", and there never have been. Come on people, what are we, 7 years old?
