I agree. The Bible predicts what will happen in the future.

It's pretty amazing how the entire Old Testament set the stage for what happened in the new Testament. There are a whole bunch of references in the OT to the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, some written over a thousand years before He was even born.

I only know what God tells me as He tells me what I need to know and when I need to know it. I don't just go around doing it whenever I feel like it.

So, what does all of this mean exactly?

I only know what God tells me as He tells me what I need to know and when I need to know it. I don't just go around doing it whenever I feel like it.

It means that after the Pentecost, the Holy Spirit gave Jesus' believers some of the same powers he had: The ability to speak in tongues, prophesize, to heal, or even to perform miracles if their faith was strong enough.

Yeah well all I can do is help people and give them emotional healing. None of that other stuff but I still believe it's possible.

Same here. My amount of faith has sadly dwindled to less than that of a mustard seed. There are just too many pretty shiny things in this world that I don't want to go without and frankly, I'm not very good at turning the other cheek.

Same here. My amount of faith has sadly dwindled to less than that of a mustard seed. There are just too many pretty shiny things in this world that I don't want to go without and frankly, I'm not very good at turning the other cheek.

We all have human weakness and need our faith to sustain us when we are led astray.
