If so, can you confirm the rumor I'm hearing that a forming consensus has grown between both rightwing and leftwing, Republican and Democratic drivers that they will work to defeat Trump's tariffs in their own way.

Apparently, they won't go into specifics, but it will be felt nationwide should Trump continue down his stated path.

Anyone able to corroborate this?

How about a link to keep the OP legal?

My son is a truck driver. I will ask him.

I'm not sure how truck drivers can defeat a tariff, though.

.

Practices, not legal actions ... Slow down or impede the delivery speed ...
Cause shortages that increase prices through general 'supply and demand' factors in the market ...
Use that to apply pressure in hopes of influencing change.

But ... When you think about that ...
You have to understand that they really don't care about you or what you are paying.

It's a typical Marxist ideology ... Adjust labor practices ... Screw yourself and your neighbors ...
Just to stick it to "the man" ... In hopes that will miraculously make sense to some of the population.

Critical Theory ... Class Warfare ... And the idea the 'bottom of the ladder' ... Has everything figured out.
Power to the People ... :auiqs.jpg:

Meh. It will likely be as effective as the leftards Chikfila ban.

No truck driver is going to cut off his dick to spite Trump. They get paid by the mile.
.

Wanna bet ... The heart can be stronger than the mind at times ...

Protectionist tariffs are a Marxist ideology.
.

I don't think I ever suggested that Marxism is not popular ... And President Trump is a populist above all else.
Again ... The heart can be stronger than the mind at times.

You want a cookie ... :auiqs.jpg:

That's true. And, yes, I find that whole power to the people thing to be equally laughable.

Calling that hammer down, scale dodging j-mac for his valuable opinion on this matter.

Drive less = make less $.
.

Not going to work because you are on strike ... Means less money too.
Let's not pretend that never happens.

Shit ... Let's not pretend people won't shoot themselves in the foot ...
If they ever get the stupid idea, it might help them out or better suit their desires ... :auiqs.jpg:

You strike for a better contract - that is, personal gain
What personal gain do you think truck drivers will realize by slowing down / making less money?
.

The stupid satisfaction of sticking to the man ... But I already answered that it the part you cut out.
Now ... Be stupid, especially around here ... And try to tell me that some nitwits wouldn't do something like that.

I'm talking about people ... Not necessarily you or what you think.
I think it is precious that are you trying so hard ... Not to get the point.

So tell me ... What the fuck do think the truckers will do and why ...
Say something ... Anything will do ... :auiqs.jpg:

The stupid satisfaction of sticking to the man
Right.
Thanks for playing.

If you mean a truck driver's strike, that'll never happen.

Truck drivers sometimes turn down a $3600 load because it's not $3650 - the idea they will choose to make less money to protest tariffs is abject lunacy.
If there's a strike, rates will go up and there will be drivers on the road taking advantage of the rate increase.
