If so, can you confirm the rumor I'm hearing that a forming consensus has grown between both rightwing and leftwing, Republican and Democratic drivers that they will work to defeat Trump's tariffs in their own way.

Apparently, they won't go into specifics, but it will be felt nationwide should Trump continue down his stated path.

Anyone able to corroborate this?

Generally speaking - there are, of course, situational exceptions.
But, when you charge 3-5% more FSC than you're paying, you make more money.

This is an excerpt from FSC chart for the CSX railroad, which many trucking companies use as their reference.
As you can see, it starts with a base of 1.16/gal and then adds a % from there depending on the DOE US diesel price
Remember that fuel cost is only a portion of your per mile cost, and so when the fuel goes up, only that portion of your per mile increases.
