Are there any truck drivers on USMB?

In other words: You made it up.
No surprise.
If you're saying that every time Donald Trump used that phrase to preface anything he said was a lie, then...

Is that what you're saying sir?

If so, can you confirm the rumor I'm hearing that a forming consensus has grown between both rightwing and leftwing, Republican and Democratic drivers that they will work to defeat Trump's tariffs in their own way.

Apparently, they won't go into specifics, but it will be felt nationwide should Trump continue down his stated path.

Anyone able to corroborate this?
Tariffs increase the price of the goods that truckers haul.
They, or their employer, get paid a rate per mile.
Cost/value of the goods in the trailer/container have little to no effect what the truck driver earns.

Once again, the OP reveals the depth of ignorance and the desperation to throw any mud on the wall that might impinge Trump.

Didn't you cheer on your political leaders when they were doing this...?

When fuel prices go up, so do fuel surcharges - and everyone, including the truckers, makes more money.
Not exactly. The rates have to go up, too. Fuel surcharge doesn't cover all the other expenses and the fuel surcharge is taxed, so the money to cover that has to come from somewhere.

Calling that hammer down, scale dodging j-mac for his valuable opinion on this matter.
Herding truck drivers is worse than herding cats.

I would say maybe a few triggered leftist O/O’s, but the vast majority drive company trucks. There’ll be no slowdowns industry wide, trucking companies are already having a tough enough time.

Many people are saying what I pointed out in the OP.
If truck drivers wouldn't strike to stop Electronic Logging...they sure as hell ain't gonna strike to stop anything else.

If this is a hope you're hanging your hat on, be prepared to pick it up off the floor.

Fact.

It does depend on your trucks efficiency and the driver's driving habits...but generally an owner makes more from the surcharge than the additional outlay from higher fuel prices.
