It might have something to do with the fact, that unlike the positions of the left wrong, our positions are strong enough and sane enough to stand up to honest discussion and opposition, to be defended on their own merits; and we do not have to suppress or censor opposing positions in order to defend ours.

I agree I stop considering myself a conservative a few years ago. and with the pussy republicans it's hard to be part of the republican party. I'm also a little pissed at gun owners because their is no reason why the president should not have gotten 120+ million votes knowing what the other option will be.
