When will Americans have enough of endless war?

Interesting article by Pat Buchanan.

“The Kurds have no friends but the mountains,” is an old lament. Last week, it must have been very much on Kurdish minds.

As their U.S. allies watched, the Kurdish peshmerga fighters were run out of Kirkuk and all the territory they had captured fighting ISIS alongside the Americans. The Iraqi army that ran them out was trained and armed by the United States.

The U.S. had warned the Kurds against holding the referendum on independence on Sept. 25, which carried with 92 percent. Iran and Turkey had warned against an independent Kurdistan that could be a magnet for Kurdish minorities in their own countries.

But the Iraqi Kurds went ahead. Now they have lost Kirkuk and its oil, and their dream of independence is all but dead.

More troubling for America is the new reality revealed by the rout of the peshmerga. Iraq, which George W. Bush and the neocons were going to fashion into a pro-Western democracy and American ally, appears to be as close to Iran as it is to the United States.

After 4,500 U.S. dead, scores of thousands wounded and a trillion dollars sunk, our 15-year war in Iraq will end with a Shiite-dominated Baghdad aligned with Tehran...

We just went through eight years where the Military was either ignored or used as a social experiment. Where was Buchanan when Hussein was president?

Buchanan has commented quite a bit on Hussein's failures.

America, namely republican war-mongers, will try to keep these nightmare wars going forever. A lot of their super-rich donors are surely making tons of money with the wars going full throttle.

Also, too, it would likely be cheaper to keep bombing the rubble than to face the massive amount of money it will cost American tax payers to try and help rebuild all of the bombed out middle-eastern shitholes.

The problem is these wars never stay local, they always spread. So until the far left is ready to let go of their protected classes in the middle east, we can not accurately deal with the problem.

Religion must be removed....
1. Take control of the entire area with brute force.
2. Burn all religious books and order that all will be killed if they don't give it up. Go fucking roman on the bastards.
3. Reeducate the population to be civilized.

After a few decades the area will become first world like Germany and Japan did. But we will have to be willing to wipe out the religious brainwashing that causes the violence.

Yes we need to start with the far left religion as it keeps proving it is more dangerous than ISIS..

Quite the opposite...We need to make these people respect human rights, become civilized and seek out education. Sure, there's elements of the far left that I disagree with but I don't think giving woman more rights is a bad idea.

And the far left drone proves my comments! They do not live in reality, they only exist in debunked far left religious narratives.

They clam to support women, but will bash any woman that is not part of the far left religion. The far left will back men that abuse women for 30 years..

fyi; Obama spread the war and increased the amount of bombings.

but you knew that and lied anyway.

Oh, American Taxpayers are gonna pay for it all. That's a vital part of the agenda.

"Hussein's failures" <<<<<so? How about some comments on how we should have gotten rid of Hussein
in the mid 1960s? ----and then gone after Khomeini

And now it's time for the US to sell the Kurds out. They served their purpose. Time to throw em away.

Kurds is human beans. Mostly they are human beans who TOOK TO THE HILLS to escape people like you

So why is the US Government now selling them out? The answer is, they've served their purpose. They can be thrown away now.

I do not know why the USA is selhttp://www.metrolyrics.com/claude-king-lyrics.htmlling them out "now". I don't think that the USA ever offered the kurds much support. Historically----"everyone hates da kurds"

What happens in the Middle East is none of our business and if we wouldn't have been constantly meddling in their affairs throughout most of the 20th century we'd have never become a terrorist target.

Simple answer to the question is yes, we will. The war machine drives the economy. Not to mention that Trump is dead set on nuking NK so he can say he did.
