I agree wih your assessment of the Russian people, however I don't see how basically strong people are abused when they have chosen a strong leader. The worst thing about Putin in my view as a non-Russian is his close ties to the Orthodox Russian Church. But that does not make him a bad leader to the Russian people as a whole.
