Any Liberals Want to Get Rid of the Filibuster Now?

My position has never changed. The filibuster should be what it was intended to be. If someone or some are willing to talk and drag things out long enough, nothing gets passed.

I'm guessing not.
Been my point all along.

There will be a time when the left is in the position the right was in and here we are.

Is that going to change the rhetoric? Not a chance, the second the dems regain power they are going to go right back to calling to end the filibuster. they never learn.

I’m guessing the GOP will as soon as there’s a bill they want to pass
The GOP has passed thousands of bills without having to resort to that, or even threaten it. The reason, is the GOP doesn't want to radically transform the United States into a Demofascist regime.

One day if the Republicans don't work as a group democrats will have control and do everything they want to do.

I thought the dems wanted to expand the scotus? Should we not, cross the aisle and follow through with their plan?
Go for it, if those are your principles.

Oh, but Trump will be a dictator, sure.

Trump and the gop senate should nuke the filibuster in a sign of crossing the aisle and show it bipartisanship

From Esquire:

There will be no asterisk this time around. Donald J. Trump is the president-elect of the United States.

The asterisk came at the suggestion of my wife. In 2016, I was struggling with a way to describe a president whose ascent came via what I believed to be dubious means. Four years of typing some elaborate and derisive descriptive seemed like a dreadful prospect. So when my wife suggested the asterisk, it seemed so brilliant in its simplicity, and so popular once it appeared, that it was clear that it had been a magnificent choice.

Not this time. The asterisk is not coming back. Donald J. Trump is the chosen president-elect of the United States in every possible way you can be, a winner in the popular vote and a winner in that marble mausoleum called the Electoral College. The asterisk is not coming back, because this time I am absolutely sure that a majority of my fellow citizens will get exactly what they want. They will get pardons for the January 6 insurrectionists and an end to any federal prosecution of the incoming president, now and forever. They will get attacks on the free press and on political dissent that they have been slavering for. They will get validation for their rage, and an outlet for their promised vengeance, beyond their wildest fantasies. They will get the chaos for which they voted, and which they apparently fervently desire. And there is absolutely nothing that God, man, or the Constitution can do about it, because we did it to ourselves.

Haha the idiot believed in the russian hoax and he really wants to remind us of how big an idiot he was!??

One thing the Republicans suck at is coming up with ideas. Democrats are great at coming up with these ideas that eventually come back to bite them in the ass and get all bent out of shape when Republicans do Democrat ideas better than the Democrats do. Democrats also came up with the idea of adding more judges to the Supreme Court. So, we should go from 9 justices up to 13. We can start now.

Thanks for reminding me about the asterisk from the MSM and the Left Wing rags like Salon which awarded a completely made-up asterisk based upon rules inconsistent with the Constitution. The Electoral College is brilliant.
