That's different. I agree. But you can't say they aren't rising because that is obviously wrong. Not only are the seas rising, it's perfectly natural they are rising. Happens in every interglacial period before temperatures plunge and another glacial period begins.

But I disagree that sea level rise can't be measured. It can.

One can measure by photos! People can tell by markers. You claim 4 mm a year, yet photos don’t show feet of rise within the last 100 years. So 4 mm a year is not accurate. You’re flat out wrong

All I know is what I learned to become a pilot. We had a lot to study on weather. I don't want the excuse that Climate is not weather. It happens to be longer range weather than our daily range of weather.

My problem is simple. We are supposed to get all upset to the point we submit to politicians. Forget that part. I won't do it.

Even when I was in college, nothing about this was taught to us. My physics courses did not have a thing to say about climate. Democrats have truly alarmed people and told them how to live. I won't do that either.

First you said the photos showed no rise; that photos which were referenced to land showed no change. So now you are changing that argument to there is sea level rise but it's because coastal areas are sinking?

Tidal gauges and satellites are not referenced to land so sinking coastal areas don't affect that measurement. And thermal expansion is a real thing so it's really hard to argue there's no rise whatsoever. It's a lot easier to argue the planet is warming and the seas are rising but that it's perfectly natural rather than arguing the planet isn't warming and the seas aren't rising.

Sea level is rising due to thermal expansion of water and net ice melt because the polar regions are deglaciating. The oceans and the atmosphere are warming. Just like they do in every interglacial period.

The geologic record shows the NH will be ice free well before the SH. So no reason to panic. The SH has stayed glaciated in every interglacial period of the last 3 million years.
