Are any of you in states with legalizing Marijuana on the ballot? These ads are pretty damning with the Denver Mayor saying "don't repeat our mistake". I'm on the fence on this one, what say you?

just decriminalize it for the responsible smokers, and treat it like alcohol.....you abuse it you pay a heavy price........

That has been my default position on drugs, but they are citing statistics about 50% of newborns showing marijuana in their system, those are side effects I hadn't thought about.

The main thrust of the ad campaign is that 'marijuana-related' road fatalities have increased dramatically since the laws were introduced.
These data are unreliable by virtue of the fact that blood-testing for marijuana use will return a positive result for days after the consumption.
And, of course, unlike blood alcohol measurement, the marijuana test gives a basic yes/no result, and gives no indication of the degree of impairment.
The ads are a simple case of dishonest political opportunism.
