I cursed him under my breath at his funeral for being so "stupid", until I became addicted to crack cocaine in the early 2000's and found out what it was really like. It was only by the grace of God that I overcame that, and haven't touched so much as a whiff of pot since 2007.

Should dealers be excused if they also selling a product that came from foreign narcoterrorists who also deal in hard drugs, murder, and human trafficking? Wouldn't the consumption of non-domestic pot also be supporting the same cartels that export the hard drugs? There are no "Juan Valdez" independent pot farmers south of the border. The growth, harvest, and distribution of pot is completely controlled by the cartels.

Yes, I understand all of that and there has been coordination for years for Intelligence. We are not in a declared war or even armed conflict, with another Nation for our military to be used in a Jus ad bellum or Just War situation.

Nor were these drug dealers an imminent threat to us, where they had to be taken out via missile because they were approaching the USA.

It would have better served us imho, with DEA on the ground in this country as you say, and certainly with local connections...snitches....operatives, to find a way to follow the trail of how the drugs in that boat, make it to the United States and all who were the HANDLER operations and countries or governments along the way....then we could bring down the whole operation with our knowledge learned....and put some real pressure on the whole racketeering operation or operations... plural.

Just blowing up a boat, many filled with simply poor people along for the ride as broke and hungry fisherman head of households, will simply be replaced with more indigent and hungry head of households seeking to feed their family and keep a roof over their heads...

Three boats already and certainly no end in site, without ever being able to truly get some results impeding the trade and industry trail leading here.... because there are too many desperate men that need to feed their families, is simply an unnecessary and unproductive, never ending killing of Venezuelans....

Let alone the implications that will follow these kind of unprecedented situations on the world stage and how it will affect our own freedoms and safety when traveling abroad....

It would have better served us imho, with DEA on the ground in this country as you say, and certainly with local connections...snitches....operatives, to find a way to follow the trail of how the drugs in that boat, make it to the United States and all who were the HANDLER operations and countries or governments along the way....then we could bring down the whole operation with our knowledge learned....and put some real pressure on the whole racketeering operation or operations... plural.

Just blowing up a boat, many filled with simply poor people along for the ride as broke and hungry fisherman head of households, will simply be replaced with more indigent and hungry head of households seeking to feed their family and keep a roof over their heads...
