I also asked how many people lied/didn't fill it out in 1990,1980,1970.... , so far I think 3 people have responded with an answer. Most just want to say how they are "Sticking it to the man" by not filling it out or lying on it. THAT will show your community/state who is boss!

I noticed that. I'm literally flabbergasted at anyone that's really willing to "snub their nose to spite their faces." I mean what would be the talking point anyway, "Obama can't get us united enough to participate in the census, IMPEACH him."

It's one thing to be legitimately opposed to policies and want to speak out using any of apparatus of our fine electoral system. It's another thing to intentionally harm yourself and your own neighbors just in the hopes of getting sympathy for your cause.

In fact, doesn't the right wing stress independence and taking care of oneself, not dependence, hesitancy and asking for handouts? Maybe even that's changing .

You accomplished one thing with your census. I did two things. They have been made aware exactly who many people live at this address for districting and fund allocation purposes. That is question one and possibly two. The rest is obtainable from existing government sources or just none of their business. I took the opportunity to make that clear to them. I do not appreciate your characterization that it was a lie in some fashion. Apparently you are so entrenched in entitlements, you consider this action harmful to myself. I'm slowly starting to work out the conservatives worth debating up here and those that are hopeless. Though I filed you under the latter category after our first exchange, I can never fail to be amazed at the logic behind stupidity. By "making it clear to them" all you've done is make it more difficult to get accurate, detailed information. Why would you NOT want full demographically information about your area?

Do you people really think if the government wanted to take you, your family, or your money, they wouldn't just DO it? They don't need a census to find most people nowadays, technology does that for us, you're astoundingly behind the times if you think the most effective way at gathering data on people to spy on them would be by paper and snail mail.

Not smart enough to realize the government already knows how much you earn each year through your tax return. They also can you profession, number of dependents, age, address, sex, income sources, whether you had major health issues that year and a multitude of other things.
