The have no idea of the miracle work government does for them each and every day.

If they had any idea of history, they'd know what happens when government disappears:

When the Roman government was destroyed it led to 125 years of economic collapse and misery for all of Western Europe. It was called the dark ages. Only when the descendants of the Romans established themselves as the European Royalty and instituted government again did Europe start to recover.

Again, when the Soviet Union collapsed, the barely existing free libertarian 'government' under Yeltsin was an absolute disaster for the majority of the Russian people. It was a nightmare...elderly starved, people were 'paid' with whatever their company produced instead of cash, gangs and organized crime ruled over everyone. The murder rate soared. That's why the Russians love Putin so much...he came in as a BIG government pro law and order President. He destroyed organized crime (or got the under his control). He recreated Russia as a viable country. Too bad he eventually decided to become a nutcase tyrant.

I sure that there are dozens of times in history that lack of government has caused massive humanitarian disasters.

But it looks like you'll all be finding that out very, very soon!

While we certainly can reduce the government headcount by at least 20% by getting them back to the office and working full days, let’s not forget how much money we taxpayers are paying for contractors.

The maximum compensation cost for a contractor is…..get ready for it….$646,000 a year! Many of these contractors are government retirees who set up a contracting firm for their sole client - the government department where they worked - and then continue to do their previous job, taking in a 6-figure pension plus billing $400 an hour.

I know someone who retired from the government, is collecting $100,000 plus in pension, and earning another $400,000 on his contract.

Again, the dismissive attitude, it betrays intellectual laziness and/or the inability to formulate a reason and evidence-based argument. You should take the time to have a discussion with a principled anarchist (of any flavor, e.g. capitalist, syndicalist, communist), I have many times and find myself more enlightened for it, despite our disagreements on many questions.
