Another Evidence of the Book of Mormon authenticity:

"Evidence" is a useless word to me.

What is "evidence" and what does it matter?

This is not a court of law.

All the piffle about horses and DNA that are used to "discredit" the Book of Mormon are also useless.

Science has shown us that what was true today....may not be true tomorrow. (Our view of the atom has changed over time. Cancer research. We have completely restructured (pardon the pun) our understanding of the brain and how it works..i.e. neuroplasticity....and what we learned from Hubble!!!!!).

And that is why faith is the key.

There is no "Evidence" that the bible is true. We still have huge arguments over 6 days of creation, the flood, the parting of the Red Sea....what took out Sodom and Gamorah.

What does the Christian world claim as "evidence"?

Moroni 10:3-5 states:

3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

That means, a medium that you can't put a meter on, titrate, or do an x-ray to detect is going to let you know "the truth".

You would think Christians would love the Jospeh Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Another testimony that he lives and is still interested in our affairs.

But no.......

What's more important is maintaining the status quo.

Appealing to evidence takes away from the key message. It is through Diety (the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit) you are made aware of "truth".
