Treyvon Martin was a great example. As soon as that shit went public, there was a rush to judgement, and all these news stories came out. Yes, Zimmerman was a weirdo but his story seemed to check out. The police let him go. But noooooo, that wasnt cool, so there was condemnation from the media and intense airing of outcry by the locals in Florida and then blacks all across the country got on board. They even convinced the DOJ to launch a Federal investigation. And in the end, everyone came to the same conclusion that the Florida cops came to in the first place. The story seemed to check out. Do you realize how much damage was done to the black community in that case? Obama, " If I had a son...." WTF! Of course a lot of people were disappointed in the outcome.. but you know who wasnt disappointed? The media. They made a TON of money from clicks and views and story after story. Outrage produces income. Outrage also produces voters but thats a story for another time.
Okay, you are leaving out a lot of this story, like no one bothered to drug test Zimmerman to see if he was on one of the two drugs that he was taking for Adult ADD. One that has a side effect that includes hallucinations. Of course, people were outraged about it, because you shouldn't send your kid out to the store and then have some thug shoot him on the sidewalk like it was nothing. So big surprise, a mostly white jury found a white man innocent of shooting an unarmed black child.
Michael Brown - Dont even get me started. This was bullshit from the beginning. "Hands up!! Don't shoot!" People all out protesting and making signs and the whole time, the media is making money because people are outraged. Facts and truth be damned. That guy was guilty as hell.
Guilty of what? Pushing some guy into a chip rack? Jaywalking? The problem there was that a white DA who should have recused himself instead ignored witnesses who said he had his hands up, included witnesses who were obviously lying (Including Witness #40, a mentally ill racist woman who wasn't even there), and allowed the cop to make a self-serving statement without challenge to the grand jury.
We could go into the laundry list of other cases - Tamir Rice, Breonna Taylor, LaQuan McDonald, Sandra Bland, George Floyd, Jean Botham, etc.
