An ice free day in the Arctic Ocean by 2030?

What a lot of crap you posted. So here is one of your sources;

Damn, what do ya know, the Northwest Passage first opened up in 2007. In 2016, a thousand passenger cruise ship navigated the passage. It has opened up several times since. Now let's look a real scientists predictions for the warming:

"The global temperature rose 0.2°C between the middle 1960s and 1980, yielding a warming of 0.4°C in the past century. This temperature incr
ease is consistent with the calculated effect due to measured increases of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Variations of volcanic aerosols and possibly solar luminosity appear to be primary causes of observed fluctuations about the mean trend of increasing temperature. It is shown that the anthropogenic carbon dioxide warming should emerge from the noise level of natural climate variability by the end of the century, and there is a high probability of warming in the 1980s. Potential effects on climate in the 21st century include the creation of drought-prone regions in North America and central Asia as part of a shifting of climatic zones, erosion of the West Antarctic ice sheet with a consequent worldwide rise in sea level, and opening of the fabled Northwest Passage."

What a dishonest reply you make since there is a long list of no summer ice forecasts in the link thus your attempt to deflect to a bogus argument was caught and failed.

LOL, what a pathetic reply and your ignorance of past history of travel in the Acrtic is clear, it has been traversed in 1903-06 and 1944, here is the source about it, LINK

Dumb-de-dumb dumb. Silly ass, by the very factor that you are invoking, the Milankovitch Cycles, we should be in a cooling period right now. We were, until the Industrial Revolution. That combined with the very rapid deforestration we have had at the same time is the major reason we are very rapidly warming instead of slowly cooling. Ah well, little lame brains like you obviously think you know far more than the geologists, physicists, and meteorologists. Do you even have a GED?

It has been cooling for thousands of years now as per the Polar Ice core data,

The RATE of cooling trend is increasing slowly over time.

I didn't post anything.

Are you drinking and posting ?

For nearly a year, climate specialists have been speculating that carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from China—the world’s largest emitter—may have peaked in 2023, well before a government goal to halt emissions growth by 2030. Supporting evidence emerged earlier this month, when a new analysis from the Asia Society Policy Institute showed that China’s increasing reliance on renewable energy had cut CO2 output during the April to June quarter by 1% compared with the same period of 2023.

However, two contradictory trends raise questions about exactly when and at what level China’s emissions might peak—a key issue for global efforts to curb climate change.

On one hand, China now far outpaces the rest of the world in installing new solar and wind capacity, cutting emissions growth. But the country also leads the world in firing up new coal-fueled power plants, a major source of planet-warming CO2.

So maybe yes...maybe no.

I had not seen this number before:

The competing efforts have created “a lot of uncertainty” in projecting the future of China’s emissions, which now account for 31% of the world’s total, says Glen Peters, an analyst at the Center for International Climate Research in Norway. Further clouding the crystal ball: a mix of economic and political factors, including pressure from Chinese energy companies to keep coal plants producing revenue as long as possible.

And here is something to be concerned about:

The problem is that it was always unsustainable. The government approved projects that were unneeded and poor quality for the sake of growth. China is now famous for its “ghost cities”, where infrastructure and urban development has drastically outpaced demand. Millions of apartments and offices sit empty, but the Chinese government continued to approve projects because it produced economic growth. Empty apartments are especially useless for a nation that will soon have a declining population.

*****************

And that can easily translate into these green projects. The Chinese care about....not the environment.

After the ice caps melt in 5 years due to Chinese CO2 emissions
LOL Typical Trumpanzee lie. The US has put more CO2 in the air than any other nation since the industrial revolution. And currently we are #2 in GHG emissions. And soon to be #1 again as China gets it's fusion program going, and continues to install more renewables than the rest of the world combined. If you silly assholes would leave your alternative universe, and join reality, you might learn something.

True. And this may well lead to an economic collapse that will slow them down for a decade. But they are also concentrating on advanced engineering in their educational system, while we are dismantling our educational system.

Yes, the Chinese freely share true data about their country and never falsify anything.

You believe them because it suites you.
One can clearly see the solar and wind from satellites. So the numbers can be easily contested or verified. I see no one contesting the Chinese numbers on the installations. Now how effective they are at getting the electricity from those installations to where it is needed is another matter.

Fake fucking CCP news

If what you're saying is true, and there's no chance of that, today's CO2 should be in the thousands

How much CO2 the USA has been adding annually?

Silly ass. You quote non-specialists. The source I posted is one of the world's leading experts on atmospheric physics, and he stated in that 1981 paper that he expected the Northwest Passage to open for the first time by 2100. It opened up for the first time in 2007.

You are a BALD FACES LIAR, it is now obvious that your prejudice is preventing you from genuine examination of the link.

Here is the list of scientists making the asinine prediction going back to the first decade of this century,

Polar ice cap melting away in 2008 ?

The latest salvo comes courtesy of Xinhua, which reports that Olav Orheim, the head of the Norwegian International Polar Year Secretariat, is placing his money on this summer. Noting that its ice sheet had reached a historical low of 3m sq. km last summer – it covered around 7.5m sq. km as recently as 2000 – Orheim told Xinhua that “if Norway’s average temperature this year equals that in 2007, the ice cap in the Arctic will all melt away.” Barring this disaster, Orheim predicted that excess carbon dioxide emissions and higher average temperatures would unpredictably alter the region’s fragile ecosystems. On a separate note, he said that Asia would likely be hardest hit by rising sea levels, estimating that a one meter rise would affect “nearly 100 million people on an area of 800,000 square km in Asia and direct economic loss will amount to 400 billion U.S. dollars.”

That was from the first LINK I had already posted.

Your lies are easy to see because you have no truth in you at all, you behave like a leftist turd.

He was being sarcastic, which unsurprisingly you failed to notice.....

Yep, right up to the start of the industrial revolution. Now it is very rapidly warming, and the polar caps are shrinking.

No it is part of a periodic phase that is highly connected to the AMOC

See the obvious cycling between short warming and cooling phases?

Here is the much longer cycle you clearly not aware of,

NO that was from the Canadian Encyclopedia, but here is another source to read over that shows the ship is real the voyages really happened and valid.

Service history

St. Roch was constructed in 1928 at the Burrard Dry Dock Shipyards in North Vancouver. Between 1929 and 1939 she supplied and patrolled Canada's Arctic.

"In 1940–1942 she became the first vessel to complete a voyage through the Northwest Passage in a west to east direction, and in 1944 became the first vessel to make a return trip through the Northwest Passage, traversing the more northerly route considered the true Northwest Passage, and was also the first to navigate the passage in a single season. Between 1944 and 1948 she again patrolled Arctic waters. On May 29, 1950, she became the first vessel to circumnavigate North America, travelling from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Vancouver via the Panama Canal. In all she made three arctic voyages."

=====

"Scotsman John Rae explored a more southerly area in 1854 through which Norwegian Roald Amundsen made the first complete passage entirely by ship in 1903–1906."
