Japan has one of the highest life expectancies in the world. We do not read about elderly people in Japan who are poorly cared for.

Okay, this isn't a good thing, in that if you don't have enough young people to replace them, you often runinto trouble taking care of the old people.

The Japanese aren't making enough babies and they aren't allowing immigrants into the country. This is a big problem.

Now, large part of the problem here in the first world is that women are spending their prime baby making years building their careers, and then rushing to have kids before the biological clock runs out.
