Americans like to live in cars!

This article pretty much explains what is wrong with modern political thinking. Do you guys really believe that Americans want to live in cars?

People are ditching apartments to live the 'van life'
Depends on the school bus. Remember, you can take it where ever you want to go:

Here's a page that goes over their whole conversion process. They got the school bus for $2000.

Here's another one with more pics of it.

Love that 1951 refrigerator.

Fuggin' awesome. Don't want the sun coming in that window? Just turn it around. Feel like running off to Michigan? Just start 'er up and drive. Everything you need is on board. That's not a situation you live in because you have to. It's something you live in because you can.

And the cool thing --- it's a school bus. If you're bored you can just flash the lights and make everybody stop. :D

I worked out of town in the construction business for years it ended up cheaper to live in a camper so I bought a 20' one. In a couple of years I plan on buying a Class C RV and just go where ever the fancy takes me. I'll have a home base but I won't be there much.

Ya know I have been thinking of buying one..but I don't get something when I check on craigslist, why are fifth wheelers so cheap compared to basic tow behinds? I thought they would be in the high 50k with slide outs?
It takes a special setup to haul a 5th wheel you can buy a tow behind that hooks up to a regular bumper hitch but they aren't cheap and the good sized 5th wheels can't be pulled buy anything less than a 1 ton truck.

No I could care less if someone chooses to live in a car. That's their choice. Ultra right wing kooks think every working american should strive to own a house yet they exclaim they believe in freedom. They know what's proper...just ask em.
You are an apologist for a corrupt regime that has deliberately caused millions of middle class Americans to sink into poverty. Shame on you.

Life in a car is something that always has appealed to my sense of freedom, but I would only go that route if I was single. I've been a homeowner these past 33 years and so it is easy to feel like I've been there, done that.

Nope. Blackrook shame on you for believing that jobs that pay anything less than ten dollars per hour are actually jobs. Any job that pays less than fifteenb dollars per hour does not pay one lousy bill and employers should not expect good effort for that pittance.

You know.............if the current trend is for people to move into small houses (watch Tiny House Living sometime), then what is wrong with living in a van? Saves on expenses and hassle, and lets you go where you want.

A 20 dollar membership to Planet Fitness provides a shower.

You can get it cheaper at the YMCA.
