Inflation adds up. And I expect prices to stabilize and some to lower. The fast-food industry is the warning. And the last several years it has gotten not too good. The Republicans seem to think that around 2% inflation is what they would accept and we have for years followed that with our fiat currency.

The Nazis didn't start out exterminating people, they only did that after the war started raging and they found that they could no longer deport the "undesirables" to other places. (For instance, the original plan was to deport the Jews to Palestine, but Palestine and the British blocked that.)
ICE is now buying up lots of properties to house immigrants in, despite local opposition, even though they don't have agreements with countries to take significant numbers of immigrants back.
