American voters are onto Trump's game

I am no longer worried about what will happen with the war. Though it will deal gas dropping below $3.00 until next year, there is going to be massive war damage to America. There may be a solid recession as an inevitable result. But I am not worried. Why? Trump is playing a game with markets and raking in a fortune with his buddies. The war will end when he says, "I've won, and I want a Nobel Peace Prize."

I don't think he will get one. Why? American voters are on to him. Check all of the polls. He is upside down at 1:2.

Here’s where public polling stands right now on Trump, the war in Iran, and the economy, based on the most recent data available (all from April 19, 2026):

🇺🇸

  • 37% approve, 63% disapprove — Trump’s lowest point of his second term.
Public opinion is strongly negative:
  • About two‑thirds of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the Iran war.
  • 54% strongly disapprove, with only 33% approving of his handling of the conflict.
  • Multiple polls show the war is a major driver of his declining approval.
This is Trump’s worst-performing issue area:

  • Only 32% approve of his handling of inflation and cost of living; 68% disapprove.
  • Two‑thirds of Americans say rising prices are a major concern.
  • Gas prices and war‑related cost increases are specifically cited as drivers of disapproval.
  • One‑third say the U.S. is on the right track; two‑thirds say it’s on the wrong track — the most pessimistic reading since Trump returned to office.
Even among Republicans:
  • Approval has slipped from 87% → 83% in recent months.
  • Strong approval has dropped 6 points (58% → 52%).

He still has more than 8 of 10 GOP. But women, under 34, and indies are saying, basically, "**** him and his buddies," this fall. You know what Dems think.
It is funny how Democrats act like they know stuff while using polls to somehow add validity to their idiocy. Misery loves company, and nobody is more miserable or needy than leftists.

Man With A Plan, you are not addressing the topic only shifting the argument.

Your opinion is meaningless without evidence, and you have none that the American population favors Trump's policies.

According to the IAEA, when they had the Obama deal. If you want to claim this was false you'll need to source that.

As for farce. I'm bookmarking this "giving Iran billions of dollars" remark and predict you'll celebrate bying off Iran's nuclear program as a "master stroke of foreign policy", before long, because the truth is that's one of only 2 options the US government has. The other one being boots on the ground.

Something that would be political suicide.

If years of listening to you guys have taught me one thing, is that I can count on you guys polishing whatever turd Trump offers up, no matter how ridiculous it makes you look.
You think Trump is going to be stupid enough to do a "Barry"? Come on, Forkup...wake up and smell the coffee. Trump is about to put an economic stranglehold on Iran. If they can't sell their oil because of the blockade then they can't survive. Trump doesn't need to put boot's on the ground. He has his foot on the Iranian regime's throat.

You had an argument, Jackson? I must have missed that! So far all I've heard from you are watered down Far Left talking points backed up with zero facts. :)

He just made sure they got paid for 12 billion in oil sales

The blockade is estimated to cost the Iranians a little under 500 million dollars a day, Lesh. They are FUBARED and what is left of their leadership knows it!

Well that 12 billion Trump got them should cover a lot of that

They had their chance in 1948 since then. They have blown the more than six chances since then.

Hail Greater Israel!
Gas is only 61 cents higher here......

Gas won't go below $3 again during Trumps term. Neither will inflation, and no durable goods, or grocery prices will fall under the remainder of Trumps term.

And you have none that says those opinions are of any value.

This chart is clearly a reflection of how polarized we've become..

Trumps lows are now worst than back through LBJ. Which is significant given that he is highest wasn't that great....BTW....look at Biden. So Trump is operating across a much more narrow range.

Given his unpopularity in the press....

I simply say......

The last chart in the series was very interesting......peak to trough

I only wish I could personally stomp GWB into the ground. Unpopular is not the word I would use for him. Look whose next to Trump.....Biden......just goes to show, again, how partisan we've become.

He has no constancy at all, other than his brokers are manipulating the stock market at his will.

Those are the echoes of Maga denial bouncing around inside your skull. Take so aspirin.

Today we are seeing VA return to being a blue state after years in the wilderness with Maga.

You have seen poll after poll of Trump steadily falling since last fall. He is now at 30%.

15th post
Those are the echoes of Maga denial bouncing around inside your skull.
That's him pointing out that you stating you opinion as facts and trying to put some legs under why this matters.......

is pretty useless.

What denial. Low approval....so what?

Has anyone denied those numbers?

Not only do I think he'll do a Barry. I think the deal he will do will be much more favorable than the one "Barry" made.

Iran has been under some form.of embargo for decades. The idea that this now will all of a sudden.will sway the Iranian regime is ludicrous.

Also 500 million a day, a number that's to optimistic by the way, but fine. Is considerably less than the 150 billion the DOJ is askimg at the moment to fund this fiasco. A number by the way, that is likely not going to.cover the cost. A cost.that is increasing daily. And that's just the military side.

Much more importlantly there's an economic storm coming the likes of wich you likely.can't comprehend. There's worldwide supply issues comimlng that are unheard of in anything but world war times. And it's a world the US belongs to no matter how much you deny it.

You're a kid on a tricycle playing chicken with a freight train and are insisting the train will surely break.

You're seeing the Left Gerrymander Virginia in as extreme a manner as they've Gerrymandered Illinois. Something that the Democrat who was just elected Governor SWORE she wouldn't do if she was elected! Once again, you on the left destroy democracy all the while bleating about "saving" democracy! Abigail Spanberger is a liar. She told the voters she wouldn't redistrict and as soon as she was in office she backed a redistricting plan that took Virginia from a 6/5 Democrat advantage to a 10/1 Democrat advantage. Just another liberal lying to get elected. Promising to be a moderate and then doing the opposite.
