American Sniper---Best movie in years

Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. In fact, Iraq never attacked the United States or even threatened to do so. In the Iraq War, the U.S. government was the aggressor. Iraq was the defending nation.

First it was a declared war and secound it has nothing to do with bismerching the name of a good sailor.

Most people that claim this movie was "war porn" follow it up by saying "well I haven't actually seen it but...". If you actually saw the movie and the thought it was "pro-Iraq War" than you are autistic and don't have a valid opinion.

I opposed the Iraq War and thought the movie was great. It was unabashedly pro-millitary, and put a human face to what those guys are dealing with over their, like PTSD and the severe physical injuries man veterans have for example. It also showed the strong sense of brotherhood and duty the soldiers had for one another, even when some of them didn't agree with the war in the first place. It was also a movie about triumph and overcoming ones fears and demons. Chris Kyle over came his PTSD and used his struggle with the condition to help his fellow veterans.

Also, if you can't stand with American soldiers over radical muslim terrorists who kill civilians, and your problem was with Chris Kyle taking them out and that angers you, you must be dead inside.
Excuse me fucktard,

WE WERE IN THEIR COUNTRY, YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH.

SO tell me again, WHO were the fucking terrorists?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Well terrorists were in our country on September 11, 2001 and look what they did. Are you saying that we as a country have had no right to do in return what has been done since then?

Did you forget that the perpetrators DIED IN THE PROCESS?

At any rate , The way it works is investigation, indictment, trial, sentencing.

God bless you always!!!

If the offender declares his intentions he may commit a crime?
American soldiers were criminals in that war. This is a fact.

Any normal person will not go to Iraq for the second time.
Kyle went 4.
He just liked to kill with impunity.

I don't know what you are referring to here and right now I am not interested. However I do know that protecting our homeland is not something that should be slacked off on and I don't remember thoroughness ever once being labeled a bad thing.

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

If you are not a pinheaded liberal from the Northeast, or a cocksucker from California, or a lunatic Muslim, you must go see it.

Its about a Heartland American who just did his duty as he saw it to do.

It was a great film made by a Hollywood studio in California, hollywood arts, many gay, a left-leaning libertarian director who lives in California.

No they weren't. However, the islamist terrorists who targeted civilians and american troops, the ones who Kyle killed, were certainly criminals by any convention of war.

I don't know what you mean by normal. Yes it is pretty extraordinary, an average person wouldn't sign up, much less go back, but this isn't a mark against his character but a sign of his courage and sense of duty. I don't agree with the war myself but I admire his commitment to protect his fellow soldiers. It is also admirable how he continued his service to his fellow soldiers when he left the service, helping them overcome ptsd. Even if I don't agree with his view on the war, he was a good man for doing this.

The unconventional conservatism of a "many gay" Hollywood director.

Did the movie make an effort to explain why an American was thousands of miles from home shooting people who were no threat to us? They weren`t even a threat to their neighbors. If there was any real justice Bush and his goons (and goonette) would be in jail.

"The United States had no authority, legal or moral, to attack, invade, and occupy Iraq. No nation has the authority to attack another nation and kill people in the process. The fact that the U.S. government has the most powerful army in history and that Iraq was just a Third World nation makes the situation even worse.

Since the U.S. government was the aggressor in the war on Iraq, that means that no U.S. soldier had the moral authority to kill even one single Iraqi. Every single soldier who killed an Iraqi or who even participated in the enterprise was guilty of murder in a moral, religious, and spiritual sense."

Any normal person should feel guilty about it. Chris Kyle did not feel it.

He is a murderer. He is not a man.

Bullshit. War was declared by congress and we attacked. Calling our soldiers criminals just shows what a worthless piece of shit you are. Real men must scare you and make you jealous.

It was an outstanding movie. I went to see it. First time I've been to the movie theatre in years and I am glad I did. I'm so proud of our guys. The American sniper was a true American hero. Anyone who has not seen this movie must see it. This is one you cannot afford to miss.
Apparently liberals and paultarins think he was a mass murder killing all those innocent terrorist victims of American opression.

They are idiots

Dingle Berry, Sir:

Did we have a VALID reason to invade Iraq?

Were there Iraqi soldiers off the NY Coast?

.
Wtf has that to do with how you protray this hero? Nothing. You paulbots are nothing more then radical liberal scum who would have spit on vets coming home if you wouldn't have gotten your ass kicked

I disagree. Going there in the first place was wrong, and I oppose it as a Catholic under Just War Doctrine. But leaving the country after the fact to radical sunni islamists, which happened after they withdrew, compounded a bad decision, and was more immoral in my opinion. Once the US went there, they had a moral obligation to keep the piece and provide order and continuity to society in the aftermath. There is absolutely nothing immoral about that, particularly when you are fighting enemy non-combatants who target civilians and violate the rules of war. Chris Kyle is in no sense, legally, morally, spiritually, a murderer. He only killed those who targeted Iraqi civilians and American soldiers, he acted in self defense and in the defense of others.

If you cannot see that the US and Coalition Forces were the forces for good during that war versus the islamist insurgents, you have a skewed moral compass.
