The "Education Mafia" - mainly teachers' unions - fight quantitative evaluation of their outcomes because those evaluations reveal what a shitty job they are doing...and amazingly, they keep getting worser and worser.
Incoming Freshpersons at HARVARD(!) require remedial math, despite having taken AP math in HS and got A+ grades throughout.
The unfortunate fact is that TESTING is the only way to measure how students are doing. The fact that we let TEACHERS demand a reduction or elimination of quantitative evaluation is so bizarre that taxpayers are too stunned to object. I suppose. Are unpaid school board members corrupt? I don't get it.
