I watched the interview with the guy who scored the goal. He couldn't stop talking about how much he loved the flag and the US and how great it is to represent our country. Quite a far cry from those who claim they don't really represent the US but themselves.

Some sports fans prefer a specific type or style of play, not just cheer for the home team. If they like speed and skill, and a game is just big bodies slamming together, then they could be bored silly. I don't know enough about hockey to know who plays with skill or brute force, but there are probably some sports fans who found the Olympic games boring.
