Lower Spending.

Can you tell the bank that you are just going to start paying them less? No. The amount is already set and you are going to pay it. That's how most of our debt is. The only way we can reduce those bills is to pay them off. The only thing we can do is spend less new money.That is the deficit which we have cut in half.

There is income/outgo recorded for Fed spending each year, including an off-budget column. There is no secret slush fund spent behind the curtain. nice try.

The debt is going up because of interest on money already spent. We can't change that without paying off that debt. The only way get more money to pay those bills off is to reduce the deficit, which we have done. Obama has cut the deficit in half.

Yeah, AFTER he tripled it. That's like the grocer raising raising the price of bread from $1 to $3, then reducing it to $1.50 and saying he cut the price of bread in half, when in fact he increased it by 50%.

Uh....show me where Obama "tripled" the deficit....
