Interesting analysis, not necessarily correct, but some interesting links to the context over the weekend:

British Terror Attacks: Amateurish by Design ?

The recent London and Glasgow foiled terror attacks bear some disturbingly contradictory fingerprints. Was the apparent amateurism of the attacks intentional, and if so, what would be the goal ?

Here are some thoughts what actually happened, and what it may have been designed to achieve.

What do you see wrong or likely wrong?

Occam's Razor principle: "The simplest answer is probably the correct one"

It's far more likely that these two morons lit themselves on fire by accident, and totally bungled the "attack".

It strains credulity so imagine that they were inept on purpose, to serve some grand, greater nefarious plot.

Right. Those two idiots have already been proven to be either connected to previous attacks directly or indirectly. All seem highly educated. For some reason they just didn't 'understand' barriers. Yeah, right.

Does not seem so amateurish to me. Ever seen the movie "Munich," about the Mossad hunting down and killing the Palestinian Black Septemberists that murdered the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games? Most of their bombs failed to go off as planned also. No one would call them amateurs. It seems to me that the recent UK attacks were fairly sophisticated: eight people arrested so far in both UK and Australia, using the cover of doctors to deflect suspicion, parking the bomb outside a nightclub, and then putting the second bomb where survivors of the first bomb would likely collect. If their bombs had gone off, no one would be calling the operation amateurish.
