You've never hired a subcontractor, have you?Won't it be funny now if the subcontractor they hire is unionized?
It's rare that subcontractors are unionized, because nobody that doesn't have a gun to his head pays twice the price to gave work done.
You've never signed the front of a paycheck, have you?
When you go out to eat, do you make sure the waitresses and dishwashers are getting union wages?
Demtards love mandating OTHER PEOPLE pay extra monet.
Actually I've been president and CEO of two businesses. Why do you seem to think I'm defending unions from a simple humorous comment? Businesses made unions NECESSARY at one time so gravely they abused workers in ways unthinkable today. That kind of abuse is over, but the sad fact is that other subtler abuses still continue in the face of foreign competition. To make the "minimum wage" of the late 1970s today, you'd have to earn at least $13.00/h. Fact. How many people actually make LESS than that? Look around. Put another way, the reason why so many people struggle today is because anyone making $7.25 -$13.00 today is actually making less than minimum wage was in 1979! Federal MW today has fallen below 56% what it was in 1979 due to COLI. We have created our own poverty class and allowed a poverty class level of product with it (Chinese imports) to subsidize it. In a word, there is your disparity of labor: the rich elite able to live the good life, and everyone else.
However, unions have created their own miseries as well. In my experience, every time a union gets involved, it literally prices itself out of business out of greed, not just wanting fair wages, benefits and conditions for its workers, but out of greed, takes and takes irrespective of company costs and business to the pint that eventually, the whole thing usually caves in. We simply cannot compete with a 3rd world where slave labor is the norm, so the solution is to either become 3rd world ourselves (a trend we seem headed for), or to just not compete at all and be isolationist, a means that Trump has tried to foist upon the country and its people seem to be rejecting-- -- -- in favor of 3rd world wages and standards for the many.
That kind of abuse is over?
Oh sure hon. That's a dumb retort. If the employer does something illegal, then the employee can go to the police. If the employee doesn't like his wage, he can either earn more, or go home.Employees should accept whatever an employer does to them.
