Alan Rickman has died

Currently watching an old movie costarring Basil Rathbone.

They were much alike, Rickman could have replaced Basil in many of his roles, I believe.
(Basically did as the Sherriff of Nottingham)

But Basil was allowed to play the good guy far more often, (Sherlock Holmes)

I saw that this morning. I got up earlier than usual and read my newspaper (online). How sad! I LOVED him in Die Hard, Robin Hood and Galaxy Quest. Such wry wit he had. Adored him. What a bummer!
