Airbus expects state aid for new jet
The aircraft maker Airbus today said it still expected to receive government money for its new A350 jet, despite the US and EU agreeing to restart talks about ending aircraft subsidies.
The comments, by Noel Forgeard, the Airbus chief executive, threatened to undermine a truce brokered by Peter Mandelson, the EU trade commissioner, that had averted a trade war between Europe and the US.

Funny how Europe insists the US not subsidize any of its industries, yet they continue to subsidize Airbus.

Another case of European double standards.

I believe that Airbus and Boeing have ,since one or two days, an accord about these helps : no more help for the two, so they will not be punished by the International trade organisation.

That would truly be amazing, since I don't believe Airbus would prefer to complete on a level playing field with Boeings civilian production line. Airbus has fed off the teat of government subsidy since it's inception, and a Boeing executive would have to be dumb as a post to believe they suddenly decided to compete fairly.
