Republicans have been questioning the reliability of mail-in voting for months now. Many claim absentee balloting is very erratic and potentially open to miscounting and fraud.
On the other side, Democrats say there’s no evidence that mail-in voting is unreliable. The only problem is we often hear of mix-ups and other small fiascos around the country.

Take what happened in Wisconsin, for example:
Apparently, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office discovered three full trays of mail sitting in a roadside ditch. They were found shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday.
The Sheriff’s Office brought the mail to the nearby post office, but how the trays got in the ditch remains a question.

BJ-s Pull Quote

Even if there weren’t a lot of ballots, this is still a disturbing story — how many ballots could be lost when millions flood the post office in November?

And this isn’t the only, or the most serious, event concerning mail-in voting.

In the swing state of Pennsylvania, law enforcement officials discovered that some military ballots had been “discarded” after being opened.

The tipster said sometimes postal employees are in on the scam.

“You have a postman who is a rabid anti-Trump guy and he’s working in Bedminster or some Republican stronghold … He can take those [filled-out] ballots, and knowing 95% are going to a Republican, he can just throw those in the garbage.”

In some cases, mail carriers were members of his “work crew,” and would sift ballots from the mail and hand them over to the operative.

Is that why Red States and other Republican honchos have put a push on INCREASING voting by mail? The bullshit flows both ways in the GOP! A quick sampling below of a few!

Alta California, federalist.
It all starts at the top.

Something has gone wrong with the mail—but it’s hard to say what precisely, why exactly, and whether it’s now been fixed. After GOP mega-donor and former logistics executive Louis DeJoy became postmaster general of the U.S. Postal Service in June, reports came flooding in of numerous changes at the agency that have slowed delivery times and limited capacity—sometimes with dangerous consequences for Americans who rely on the mail. Since President Donald Trump has explicitly floated the idea of withholding funding from USPS to discourage mail-in voting, which will be essential for an election held in the middle of a pandemic, Democrats and unions have taken these reforms as evidence that the administration is trying to throttle the agency as a means of cheating in the election. Meanwhile, Republicans and DeJoy are framing the changes as reforms related to the downsizing that’s been happening for years as mail volumes decline. In the first of two congressional grillings, DeJoy on Friday acknowledged a slowdown, but dismissed accusations that his mandates had political motivations. (He’ll be back for another hearing on Monday.)

Such bull crap.
Explain the 2016 incident. Explain this. All before Dejoy was appointed.
