Guess which states have the highest cost of living.

The more affordable states are Red States.

Democrats constantly raise taxes and slam consumers with regulations in their cities and states.....and now they're screaming that it's all Trump's fault.

Wherever Democrats are running things.....the cost of living goes up.

Nashville made the mistake of electing a Democrat mayor and he promptly raised property-taxes 30% as soon as he got into office.

This is why these degenerates are changing from coddling drug cartels to focusing on affordability.
It's all a game to change the subject from an 80-20 issue they're losing on big-time:

Well duh. How hard is it to figure out that the poorest states have the lowest cost of living by simple necessity?

As soon as OSAMA got into office he raised about a dozen excise taxes on cigarettes, booze, and sugary drinks.
The price of a pack of cigarettes tripled.
Assuming that is correct (please cite), and? Thats a decade ago. Do you know what year it is?

remember when the dims on USMB said that people struggling because of the high inflation of 2022 and 2023 should have made better life decisions and investments ?? I sure do .. as far as the current cost of living I'm paying basically the same as a paid at the end of 2024 .. except for gas .. its a lot cheaper ..

Yet California has the highest cost of living and the most welfare cases in the country.

When Obama took office there was 11 million people collecting SNAP benefits.
Today there are over 42 million.

Most of the people in Obamacare need a subsidy to be able to afford their insurance. The Affordable Care act isn't so Affordable.

Generally, I agree with your premise. However, when housing is considered in WA, ID and MT, ID and MT home an property values are significantly higher than WA. This is from personal experience. I have become disillusioned with WA politics and their woke policies and because I live close to the eastern border, I've investigated property costs in both ID and MT. I couldn't find ANYTHING even close to what I have in WA for the money.

Why would affordability be a Democrat talking point ? Prices skyrocketed while Biden was president.

What Democrats are doing anything right now, to lower housing rents, or significantly raise Social Security payments (locked into conforming to a 2.8% inflation rate when housing rents are jumping 10%.)

Names please.

Along with the rest of the world. That was four years again. Protip its 2025.

Now lets discuss Trump.
Okay.....prices started going down last month.

I started a thread about the price reductions.

Any more nonsense you want to talk about, or do you want to ignore more facts?

Montana isn't really a Red State.
The rich who escaped CA and NY moved there when they started watching Yellowstone.
Missoula is chock full of liberal transplants.

College towns like Missoula and Bozeman are an exception. These prices predate Yellowstone. My first attempt to buy real estate in MT followed a trip in 2000. I was impressed by the affordability. I returned five years later ready to buy only to find that I was priced out. I put the responsibility, like you, on CA. At that time celebrities like Mel Gibson were sucking up vast expanses of that beautiful state and probably the same for the current situation in ID.
I don't get what is happening in ID though. There are no jobs, no industry to speak of in north ID but the building industry is going gang busters building small starter homes and apartments. Where are these people coming from and where will they work. I'm seeing the same situations here that I saw with Clinton's sub prime loans that lead to the crash in '06. Where's the money coming from?
