Affordability......The New Dem Talking-Point

I realize you poor democrats live to be victims, but no, I don't hate you--that would mean you were important to me and nothing could be further from the truth. It must be terrible that you must invoke the name of our savior in order to further your victimhood. Merry Christmas! LOL.
The only people who live to be victims are you white right-wing males who are forever whining about some fictional anti christian hetero white racism/discrimination that doesn't exist, and every fact shows that it doesn't. So get out of your psychotic delusions and face reality.

Wrong. They did not. That was made very clear in the book "1491". But the white supremacist narrative used to try to deny what was done has you making that claim. Whites came over here based on a false doctrine where they could claim land was unhabited because the people living there were not christians according to the whites. Whites didn't win wars, they made treaties because the native americans wouldn't stop. And then they broke the treaties and you call that winning.
Half my family is Native-Americans. Natives never owned land. They just hunted till the game became scarce and then moved onto somewhere else.
You have a seriously warped memory of history lessons in school.
The only reason we picked up land in the US is because we kicked the French, British, and Mexicans out. The treaty was a peace deal to end any disputes. We bought Alaska from Russia to prevent a war.

Guess which states have the highest cost of living.

The more affordable states are Red States.

Democrats constantly raise taxes and slam consumers with regulations in their cities and states.....and now they're screaming that it's all Trump's fault.

Wherever Democrats are running things.....the cost of living goes up.

Nashville made the mistake of electing a Democrat mayor and he promptly raised property-taxes 30% as soon as he got into office.

Whenever they spout their LIES its best to HIDE YOUR WALLET.

Like ALL COMMUNIST they are after stealing money for themselves. Only IDIOTS believe them.

The Democrats are Bellyaching about "Affordibility." So what are their ideas for FIXING it? I have not heard any D Ideas. Just bitching.
Of 25 blue states that voted for Biden in 2020, 17 of them have no rent control law. 14 of those 17 have BANS against it.

Clean your kitchens Democrats, before you preach about "Affordability"

What a stupid point.

Using your post as an indicator and todays exchange rate of $1.35 per GBP, your prices are a bit different than ours. LOL, I have never seen a cell phone fee of only $5.40. Our cheapest are around $25/mo. per line. Your milk cost is much less than ours, probably because it is raw milk. It is difficult to compare. The cost for your cheese in the supermarket is pretty close to the same as ours. Interesting. I wonder why the cell phone cost is so different.

My deal was 1p per month for the first three months, then £3.99 thereafter. I don't use data, so 1gb is more than enough, I just connect to fibre broadband at home. No contract, just renew each month.

Blue states are purposely destroying the economy in their states to try and affect the economy overall... but red states are recovering from Biden's nightmare...
Thank you President Trump....

The overgeneralization you think you successfully made was stupid, specious, and simple.
So you require tutoring. OK. We were talking about "Affordability", and fixing it.

The thing most needing affordability fixing is housing rents (112 million renters' top, most expensive constantly ongoing expense). What would fix that, is rent control (preferably with rollbacks). Got it now ?

Get off your hobbyhorse. Rent control has been a disaster everywhere it has been tried.

So now we know you are 100% DUPED by the standard landlord propaganda.

Here is your education >>

There are MILES & MILES of buildings, across 5 New York boroughs, that are in great shape now, and don't look a bit different than they did 70 or 80 years ago - including the building and the whole street that I was raised in.

Never debate something you know nothing about, and the other person is an expert on that subject.
The building I was raised in, in the Fort George neighborhood of upper Manhattan (New York City) was built in 1908.
And I lived in it from 1946 to 1967 (visited it until 1977) and under rent control the entire time. Good condition - then & now.. Same with dozens of other buildings throughout the neighborhood. All rent controlled, no shortages, no buildings abandoned. Nothing destroyed. Everything now as it was 75 years ago. Now fully occupied, landlords making decent profits all along.

Landlords take a few cases of buildings being abandoned, and inflate them to spread the ridiculous notion that rent control is harmful.

Rent control has been practiced in New York for over 100 years. And withstood the test of time, very well.

This is a recent picture of the street (Ellwood St - 197 St) that I grew up in, in the 1940s & 50s. If this picture were taken then, it wouldn't look one iota different than it looks right here in the 2020s.
