So I guess you won't use per capita in this argument. There are 13 times the number of people in California than Mississippi.

The median income in Mississippi is roughly 54 percent of what it is in California. You pay less becuse you make less.

There is nothing a Blue State person can have that I can't living in rural Alabama. I have a cell phone, 3 computers, a couple gaming systems. My internet upload speed is faster than the download speed average in California.2 gig fiber. House and car. . All my crap is paid for by me with zero government intervention.

People from red states can't afford to live in them either. I know, because I live in a "red state" and have actually worked with poor peple. California is no third world shithole. You will see that in a lot of southern states and rural towns in my state, Nebraska. Missouri, Oklahoma, etc.
