Advisers urge Trump to prepare for defeat — but maybe without a concession speech

The ONLY thing Trump should announce is that he will be out of the White House on time and that his administration will not impede the transition process. They will not assist it, but they will not impede it.

President Trump vowed on Friday to continue to fight the election results, privately urging allies and advisers to defend him publicly and insisting that he still had a path to victory over former vice president Joe Biden.

But behind the scenes over the past two days, advisers have broached with the president the prospect of an electoral defeat, and how he should handle such an outcome, two people familiar with the discussions said.

Some close to the president are advocating that, if Biden is declared the winner of the presidential election, Trump will ultimately offer public remarks in which he commits to a peaceful transition of power, according to allies and Republican officials, who like others on Friday spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe internal discussions. One senior campaign aide, however, said there had been no discussion of a concession speech.

Trump is unlikely to ever concede in the traditional sense, allies said — giving the sort of gracious, magnanimous speech the nation has come to expect at the end of even the most hard-fought presidential contests. If he loses, these people added, they expect Trump to continue to baselessly claim, as he has done for several days now, that the election was stolen.

Is it time for Trump to graciously bow out?

Is there really any road for victory for him at this point?

BigBadBrutha puhlease?

Just like that guy with the fake global warming scam book did in 2000?

Please show us the fraud, not opinion or BS. True fraud.

Find it for yourself. But you won't hear about it through the news networks you use, because they want to keep you stupid and uniformed.

Fair enough, so post the fraud for us or are you just spitting bullshit like Trump.

You're not really looking hard enough, so I will give you an easy one. You just might want to keep your eye on these threads for the next few days...

Election 2020 Challenges -- Michigan

Election 2020 Challenges -- Georgia

Election 2020 Challenges -- Nevada

Election 2020 Challenges -- Pennsylvania

Election 2020 Voting System Weaknesses & Other Voting System Issues

Election 2020 Challenges -- Wisconsin

A challenge and actual fraud are 2 different things. We have already seen Trump lawsuits dismissed because they had no merit.

"Dismissed" by a lower court judge is worth about as much as a 2012 Obama yard sign on Ebay, which is only worth about $4.99 plus shipping.

When the issues go before the Supreme Court, they will be settled.

Those Obammy signs are their favorite jerk material

President Trump should NOT give a concession speech because it would be an implicit statement that the election was completely honest, which it was not.

So he should just do whatever he can during the remaining days, such as naming more federal judges if possible.

Of course, the tradition of the outgoing President riding with the incoming President from the White House to the Capitol is out of the question. (Just read that incoming President Grant refused to ride in the carriage with outgoing President Andrew Johnson, who was also labeled a "racist.")

The Donald can leave with his head up high. Despite the greatest sabotage ever faced by an American President, he managed to accomplish a lot of good things. Happily, he did not get us into any foreign wars.

Go play golf, Mr. President. You have earned it.

He cannot concede until after this case is over. They certified the election before the court hearings. Everything has to be settle in order to certified the election.
And so they are trying to sway Pres. Trump or the judges verdict. If Pres. Trump concedes, then the case is dropped.
Right now Biden is trying to squat into the Whitehouse , which squatters if they established residency for a couple of weeks in a abandon home. Then the landlord will have to go through the judicial system to have them removed.
And so Pres. Trump better not let any of these squatters into the White House or having their mail forward there or else he have to go through a long eviction process. And if he has already have mail going there. Then he needs to quickly send Biden's mail to the north pole so that it will look as if he established residency up there.

1. No, he should not bow out until the process is complete.

2. If he does end up losing legitimately, he needs to man up, thank his supporters and show some class.

At some point we've got to turn the corner and move on. An awful lot about this smells like rotten fish to me, but the process will come to a conclusion at which point, like it or not, things will move forward.

I was extremely critical of that hag Hillary not coming out on election night to address her supporters when it was clear she was going down the tubes. That was classless and juvenile in the extreme. Same applies to Trump here. Millions of people busted their asses for the guy. They deserve some respect from him, if nothing else.

Gore conceded the election once the ballots were finalized

Will Trump show the same class?
No, he didn’t. It wasn’t until Dec. 13 he conceded, after the Supreme court intervened.

That was the end of his challenges and Gore urged America to support Bush. He never challenged the legitimacy of his presidency.

Will Trump show the same class?
It would be funny if he turned it into a banana republic which we are anyway. The riots and the virus proved that.

I think that is all we can expect out of man-child Trump.
But he will add that he does not consider the Biden Presidency as legitimate

Problem is that there is no end game that results in Trump winning re-election. Too many states and too many votes behind.

He needs to acknowledge what is obvious to everyone else

Could well be. That does not mean the process should not be undertaken.
