Will this law include a hearing in which the subject of the GVRO (gun violence restraining order) can defend him or her self prior to having their firearms confiscated? You know... the Constitutionally protected right to due process...

Because in most states, the GVRO petition speeds through the court, most often without giving the subject person actual notice or an opportunity to defend themselves against the accusation. The bare minimum should be for a hearing ahead of the issuance of a GVRO, with the subject present.
