The bill targets 44 ingredients including food dyes, bleached flour, and certain oils and preservatives.

A Texas bill would require manufacturers to add warning labels to snack foods that include certain ingredients. It could affect popular candies, chips and drinks. (Scripps News)

If it's signed into law, it could impact the labeling on candies like Skittles and M&Ms, chips including Doritos and Ruffles, and drinks like Gatorade and Mountain Dew.

The bill is in line with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his "Make America Health Again" initiative, which is pushing for more transparency.

So, like CA's Prop 65 warning.....See what happens when half of CA moves to TX. ;)

Truth be told most of that stuff really isn't fit for human consumption.

it did nothing to add the labels to cigarettes.

80% of manufactured foods in this country aren't safe for human consumption, and haven't been since the 60's.

if you have not figured out that tobacco is bad for you by now you are a total idiot
the government has had warning labels on it for ages
been under a rock? or are you just crying for no reason?

I did, tobacco products have had warning labels on them for decades, what part of that don't you comprehend?
Texas does not need to add another label.........it's already there! open your eyes

what should they say? smoking is bad, it kills you........don't do it?

wow, I think you 100 percent misread my post. I clearly said the labels would change nothing just like labels on cigarettes.

that is not the drift I read but I will agree with you, if you want to munch of junk food most are not going to read any label at all, they open, eat and move on to their next junk snack food
Even if they can read fat chance they put it down and ponder their diet

Whenever I think "not fit for human consumption" I think of pop tarts. Love them, but they're indestructible and that's gross when you think about it

How is that possible?

He literally said the labels on cigarettes did nothing
probably just getting tired, yes they likely are not stopping kids from smoking but I am sure 10% of adults might have read them over and over and actually did quit
