It should have gone to trial so that the world could see it and let Garcia defend himself. The judge corruptly short-circuited that process and nullified the grand jury's verdict. The reason? The courts just ruled on the Tru,p regime’s very publicrailroading of Albrego Garcia. So it is hardly being a dead issue. nor is it something that was “just brought up” for political reasons.

It is because the Trump regime made a show of railroading a hand picked victim so he could make a big splash for his racist base. The Tru,p effort included a lot of noise from the entire right wing media, which fully embraced the open racism of the effort.

It promoted faked evidence produced in the White House, and appealed directly to every noisy stereotype embraced by Trump’s cult.
