Not really. In the original Hyppocratic oath, a doctor is totally forbidden to do anything to kill an unborn life.
It always takes extreme deceptions and contortions of human thought to talk as stupidly as the advocates of abortion do. They simply don't want to tackle and solve the problems that lead to abortions. Specially they want to make - indeed somehow they did make - abortion to a kind of human right - but this is not a way how philosophers and scientists are able to think if they take themselves serios. To kill human beings is not able to be a [god given] natural human right.
By the way, abortion is merely a medical procedure and there is indeed a reason to perform abortions: If the life of the mother is in danger, the obligation of self-defense applies and when weighing the life of the mother or the life of the child, the life of the mother must be saved for medical reasons in order to take the least risk. Without mother it's under natural conditions nearly impossible to save her child. Nevertheless sometimes a pregnant mother decides in the opposite to die and to do everthing that her unborn child is able to survive. But this are in any case very difficult decisions which we all are only able to make to the best of our knowledge and belief. We are not perfect - we are not allmighty - and the world is also a dangerous place with many risks.
I don't know what you understand when you use the word "liberlal". But freedom is not the problem. Intentional blindness is the problem. Example: I am convinced the main reason for abortions are men - even parents or other human beings like friends are able to be a reason for abortion. It is said "It takes a whole village to raise a child." - but many have the feeling to be alone in our world and the responsibility for their children seems to be a burden for them they are not able to carry.
Take the father of Heinrich Himmler as an example. He said in public "My son is a criminal" and warned in this way everyone. But indeed his son became the head of all policeman and the SS under Adolf Hitler. A main factor for the Holocaust. His son became a murderer of millions of people. And what say the people about the father of Heinrich Himmler? They say "He made him to a criminal by saying he was a criminal". So what expect this people to do from a father who thinks his own son is a criminal? To say nothing so no one knows? I guess we all are hypocrits in many ways. Otherwise it would not be possible that Putin steals the children of Russian mothers and sacrifices them on the altar of his vanity by trying to make them on the other side to murderers of the own human sisters and brothers.
