Ultimately, the civil war was inspired by the Democratic Party and their belief in the enslavement and oppression of the Black Race.
Sooo .. removing statues and such of confederate war hero's and political leaders without abolishing the political party that was calling the shots seems pretty darn hypocritical and conveniently short sighted to me.
