I'm signing up. And to think, it used to take years in school and tens of thousands of dollars education to get an advanced degree to make $30 an hour! Just a few questions first:

1. As a city employee, do I need to bring my own snow shovel or will Mamdani supply me with a city-approved one?
2. Also, as a city employee, I will require paid sick days, paid vacation, healthcare, benefits, cigarette breaks, bathroom breaks, a vest clearly identifying me as NOT an ICE worker, and full union representation and bargaining power.

• Changes to Voter ID lawls must allow sufficient time for the public to be notified of changes so they can take appropriate action if needed.
• The ID must contain a photo of the voter.
• The ID must learly indicate it is valid for voting purposes. (As non-citizens can obtain REAL IDl.)
• The ID's are issued free of charge (unless required for some other purpose such as driving, but a free version must be available).
• All required supporting docuemnts needed must also be free of charge.
• Voter ID cannot be used to suppress the use of mail-in voting, however mail in voting can require information obtained from the ID to validate the voter as a requirement (for example the Type, Issuer, expiration date and Control/Serial Number).

In my world, if I were able to change the rules, the current "voter registration" system would be shit canned and replaced with a National Voter List since the government already knows who the citizens are.

The current logic is you have to get government documents from a government entity, then go to a different government entity and present the documents at this other government entity that you got from the other government entity to get a government issued ID. Then you have to take the government issued ID to another different government entity to "register" the government ID you just went though two government entities to get. Finally on election day you have to go to another government entity location (polling place) and present the government ID to a government offical to receive the ballot to vote.

Georgia, a solidly red state, has allowed no-excuse absentee voting since 2005. That’s over 20 years now, without it turning into some massive fraud problem. Republicans pushed it through back then to make voting easier, and for years it was mostly GOP voters who used it heavily. We’ve had plenty of elections under this system, including high-turnout ones, and there’s no evidence of widespread cheating tied to it.

We let anyone request an absentee ballot for any reason (or no reason at all), but you still have to apply, and the process includes signature verification and other checks. In recent elections like 2024, absentee mail-in votes made up only a small slice—roughly 5% of the total ballots cast. It’s hardly the “huge loophole” some claim; most folks still vote in person early or on Election Day.
