A successful shift in legal tactics to class action suits has the desired result.

We used to be “The Good Guys”
A nation that prioritizes humane treatment of people in our jurisdiction

Under Trump

We send in armored vehicles and heavily armed ICE agents who storm public spaces and grab people off the streets.

We grab people with little evidence and no Due Process and send them to nations where they have no connection in sub human conditions

We create holding cells in extreme conditions

We break up families

All to round up people whose only crime is t working hard to support their families
And we cut off aid from people who desperately need it.

It was astonishing how quickly this happened. We completely lost our reputation and credibility in six weeks.

Yes, which was fine at that time.

Why?

Because there was no welfare system for them to immediately become permanently dependent on. If some bohunk goober had gotten off the boat with five kids and a pregnant wife and started looking for a government-sponsored interpretter to help him apply for taxpayer-funded housing, food, free phone, and help finding work, but only if he wanted to work, while his wife looked for the nearest emergency room in which to give birth to a new American Citezen, they would have been laughed at.

So, in the founders' time, the people who immigrated came here to work. Many of them even volunteered to be endentured (almost like being enslaved) for years just to pay for their trip.

Those are not the immigrants that Biden let swarm over our border.
Who are the immigrants that Biden let in? Asylum seekers? Who want to work and establish a life here? Or parolees who are sponsored by an American, getting all medical exams and vaccinations and papers before being let in?

It's charities that help them find places to live and jobs....though the govt does fund faith based initiatives since Bush2s new law on it...by how much, I am not certain?

My goodness, you're dense. What a stupid question to ask me.

I remain amazed at how little you people know my politics and positions. It has to be a fuckin' miracle.
Well it seems you object to the immigration actions being taken. You used some rather aggressive language with how services are being conducted. Perhaps explain what it is you meant? Cruel? where? The cities and victims of the illegals? you bet, they violate the shit out of americans.

Well we aren’t talking about legal immigration prior to the requirements which came later.
So the writers of the 14th, at the time it was written, meant ALL PERSONS, when they said ALL PERSONS in the 14th.....

And we cut off aid from people who desperately need it.
Wow, correct, the poor and needy of the cities lost all their funding to illegals. despicable behavior to our own citizens who have legal access to the funds and services.
It was astonishing how quickly this happened. We completely lost our reputation and credibility in six weeks.
Xiden's policies opened the border and even invited them all in to take over the citizens. Ohio, Florida, Texas, New York, Chicago. Fk are the people of Chicago bent out of shape about it. Even having their property taxes up for increases due to them. cruel in deed.

So the writers of the 14th, at the time it was written, meant ALL PERSONS, when they said ALL PERSONS in the 14th.....
nope, they meant black slaves. Fk, why not educate yourself.

It's a risky method.
Agreed. But the situation is SO far out-of-hand that many folks are willing to take that risk in order to attain the desired end.

There are other ways to do things, and I say in my sig "I'm not ideological. My disagreement may not be about what you're trying to accomplish. It may just be about the way you're trying to accomplish it."
A fine (and oftentimes practical and righteous) sentiment.

We've talked many times in here about first doing things like holding employers far more accountable, fixing/upgrading the temporary visa laws, etc... I've posted a plan about using capitalism to decrease the motivation for them to come here in the first place.
It's my guess that the Pubs would rather just lean on Illegals rather than pi$$-off business-folk when practicable...

Foolishness... because this could have been stopped years ago by either major political party by taking an approach similar to that of holding employers' feet to the fire...

I'm seeing too much celebration of cruelty and inhumanity across the board.
Yeah... I get it... it's what happens when citizens clamor for relief for decades and are ignored until a Champion comes along...

At THAT point the rejoicing over finally being heard and effective action finally being taken will temporary overwhelm other feelings...

Part of the Human Condition... doesn't mean you have to like it... doesn't mean it's permanent... but it IS quite understandable...

But I know maybe I'm in the minority. Maybe we just don't care about that any more as a country.
I wouldn't attribute any permanence ot it... you're just going to have to "ride it out"... it WILL pass as conditions change...

The Tribe (the collective popular voting base, comprised of all parties) has a very short memory...

It'll be over and forgotten soon, by the citizenry, as conditions change, and results become clear...

Who are the immigrants that Biden let in? Asylum seekers? Who want to work and establish a life here? Or parolees who are sponsored by an American, getting all medical exams and vaccinations and papers before being let in?

Unlike 1850 or 1900, in 2025, it does not matter WHY one comes here...

What matters is HOW one comes here, and whether or not we actually NEED them here or WANT them here...

Things have changed...

Back-in-the-day, we were a nation of 20-80,000,000 souls, with land and jobs for everyone... we could afford to be more welcoming...

Today, we are nation of 330,000,000 (that's one-third-of-a-BILLION) souls, the land is all spoken for, and we struggle to feed and clothe and employ our own people, never mind squeezing-in still more millions... we can't take 'em all in... the time has come to stop...

It's time to hang a "No Vacancy" sign on the Statue of Liberty for 20-30 years... a multi-decade -long moratorium on large-scale immigration,, to let the dust settle and to buy us time to decide what we want to do moving forward...

Being a nation of 330,000,000 souls... we don't need a single additional immigrant... not one... if we cannot find what we need from amongst a third-of-a-billion people then we just don't need it and can make-do without it...

Years of Open Borders and grotesque and egregious abuse of the Asylum accommodation have made a mockery of immigration control and border security in the United States...

That is now coming to an end...

Times have changed... and so has the nation's perspective on immigration... we can't take 'em ALL in, nor should we even try...

It is now time to enforce United States immigration law... not to "reform" it... but to ENFORCE it...

Buckle-up...

They meant all the persons meeting the requirement which they included: “subject to the jurisdiction.”
Technically, it was created for the Black slaves who were freed by the civil war.

They were considered immigrants and it was a way to beg forgiveness for how they were treated.

Demofks now do to illegals what they did to the blacks who cross the borders. And, the demofks want the same for them as we did for the blacks.

Yes, and there are different types of aliens. You and WW don't seem to grasp that.

Foreigners are aliens. Wives and children of diplomats and ambassadors are both aliens and foreigners.

I don't get what is so hard to understand about it.

According to you quote from Senator Howard there is only one class of foreigners and aliens EXCLUDED and that are those under diplomatic status recognized by the government of the United States.

I don't get what is so hard to understand about the quote that YOU provided from Senator Howard, principle author of the 14th Amendment.

Senator Jacob Howard’s Statement: Senator Howard, a primary drafter, stated that the Citizenship Clause “will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

“will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens,..."

You skipped over the first part of the statement. The terms foreigners and aliens were not meant as qualifiers for the families of ambassadors.

The quote should be interpreted as follows. Commas are used to separate items in a list, up to the last item. Would you like apples, oranges or bananas. This can be interpreted as Would you like apples or oranges or bananas. In this case, there are 4 distinct exclusions. Foreigners, aliens, [persons] who belong to the families of ambassadors and foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States.

"will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners OR aliens OR who belong to the families of ambassadors...."

Do you really believe they would have given birthright citizenship to those whose parent's broke laws to enter our country? If their intent was to be that permissive, they would not have included any qualifiers at all.

Nope, I've referenced the full quote multiples times.

Notice that foreigners, aliens describes those included in the statement "who belong..." there is not "and" or "or" connection. They simply describe the persons included in the ending of the sentence.

Remember this is transcribed from his, it's clear that the descriptors are speech for describing those included in diplomatic missions.

Some Democratic Party platform-planks never really change...

1865 --- "But... but... if we free the Slaves... who will pick our cotton?"

2025 --- "But... but... if we deport Illegal Aliens... who will pick our lettuce?"

AGAIN, the whole world is full of PERSONS.
The whole world is NOT guaranteed RIGHTS in the United States of America.
GTFOH

AGAIN, the 14th says "All persons born or naturalized in the United States,", "in the United States" is operative here.

Your attempt to make it applicable globally is just plan silly.

Who are the immigrants that Biden let in? Asylum seekers?
No.

Anyone who used the CBP app to claim to be an asylum seeker. The overwhelming majority, up to ninety percent, turned out not to have a legitimate asylum claim. But they were not deported by biden, of course.
Who want to work and establish a life here? Or parolees who are sponsored by an American, getting all medical exams and vaccinations and papers before being let in?
An accurate description of only a small percentage of them.

The overwhelming majority had no requirement that they get a vaccination. Vaccinations were absolutely not required under the biden era, catch and release program.
It's charities that help them find places to live and jobs....though the govt does fund faith based initiatives since Bush2s new law on it...by how much, I am not certain?
Those so call charities are often non governmental organizations.NGO s who accept money from the government in return for doing the government's bidding. That makes him a government organization in my opinion.

Who are the immigrants that Biden let in? Asylum seekers?...
The overpowering swarm of Invaders that crossed onto U.S. soil during the Biden Administration mostly abused the Asylum System and claimed Asylum without basis for justification, and, like the re-tards they are, the Democrats let them get away with it.

Until now.

...Who want to work and establish a life here?...
I want to retire and establish a life on Mars... but that doesn't mean that I get to do it...

Or parolees who are sponsored by an American, getting all medical exams and vaccinations and papers before being let in?
Doesn't matter... their paroles are being revoked...

It's charities that help them find places to live and jobs....though the govt does fund faith based initiatives since Bush2s new law on it...by how much, I am not certain?
Meaning that donors are stuck funneling more money to non-citizens than helping our own...

Partisan hackery induces comprehension blinders.

I've posted the Congressional Record many times here, with the 14th Amendment author's own words, to no avail.
