I was watching "With All Due Respect" on the Bloomberg website about an hour ago. A riot was reported, in passing, that happened at the Nevada state D convention. I have some questions:
Even though no one needed hospitalization there were purportedly numerous video postings by both the Clinton and Sanders factions and written posts. What little I saw of the evidence made it look like portraying either candidate as the leader of jack booted thugs an amazingly easy task. Will that hurt Hillary or Bernie worse in the general election vs. Trump?
Hillary as the chosen candidate of the DNC has a second problem Bill Clinton is becoming more of a loose cannon the longer the campaign runs?
The, at least one, poorly thrown chair was a near but definite miss and was thrown during the Sanders part of the riot. Will this play well in a general election?
In another helpful bit of economic news the claim was made that a president ending his second elected term will on average trigger a market downturn and if you go back to the 1830s a case can be made for this being true. Wall St. certainly thinks this is true because almost all financial institution contributions are going to Hillary. Can this factoid work no matter who the nominee is?
This will no doubt be one of the dirtiest elections in living memory. I still think Hillary is the great hope of the Libertarian Party and her coronation the biggest political error the Ds have ever made so will she still be electable after Trump indelibly tags her as Attila the Hen and so crooked she uses a pretzel as a straight edge?
