Larry Summers said Monday night that he was “deeply ashamed” about his relationship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, telling CNN that he would pause all public engagements as he works to “rebuild trust and repair relationships” — but the Harvard University professor added that he will continue teaching as some call for the university to sever ties with him.

“I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein,” Summers said. “While continuing to fulfill my teaching obligations, I will be stepping back from public commitments as one part of my broader effort to rebuild trust and repair relationships with the people closest to me.”

New details of Summers’ relationship with Epstein emerged last week when a House committee released emails showing years of personal correspondence between the two men, including Summers making sexist comments and seeking Epstein’s romantic advice.

While nothing is set in stone, it's looking more likely that whatever materials the DOJ has may soon be released, after being in the DOJ/FBI hands for a long time.

So I have a theoretical-only, purely conspiratorial question: Would you mind if the FBI/DOJ went through the materials and removed/redacted/altered any information or evidence that might paint Trump in a bad light, or worse, indicate that he may have broken some law, before releasing them? Would that be worth it to you in the big picture of making America Great Again?

Personal insults are fine, but hopefully we'll get some clear answers one way or the other.

That is a brilliant question,
I personally would consider it to be off the scale stupid for President Trump to not make all of the Epstein files related to himself to be not released until a certain year, [perhaps the same year that the ingredients to the C o v i d 1 9 vaccines are also made public].

I believe that this set in motion the far less than well informed Democrats on to a warpath to get both the Epstein files plus the ingredients for certain vaccines released. This will bankrupt some big companies.... but will be great news for the average American.

Why am I not surprised they did not go as far as explaining what is necessary if a soldier decides to refuse what they believe to be an illegal order?
