I wrote this today because I am starting to realize how fast my toddler is growing up.
Someday
by
Sgt. Striker
When I look at my son I see God's plan
Someday my son will no longer look up to me
He's over two and a half feet, not yet a man
He'll be a rebelious teen who wants to be free
Now he's a cutie and likes to hug and kiss
My son has taught me what every dad should know
Someday that's something I'll learn how to miss
Love is patience and not wanting him to grow
Someday my son will look back at how he was raised
He could lend me a helping hand and show me how he's grown
I'm hoping his father is the one who will be praised
Because there will come a day when I can't stand on my own
