I had my lenses replaced around 15 years ago. And the surgery is excellent.Kidding aside cataract eye problems can sneak up on senior citizens. Years ago a mostly fair skinned blue eyed person could gradually go blind due to cataracts but today a relatively simple operation will restore vision. The other age related eye problem , macular degeneration, is a different problem. I've had both and it's no fun.
