A Look Back At Our Moral and Intellectual Superiors in the Media

well correcting people's mistakes will keep in quite busy, until some correct his mistakes. Still flights to china were never stopped completely. Trump order only affected non citizens. If you were a citizen of the US or a legal resident then you could still fly into the US.

And you went into a 14 day quarantine when you landed.

Still it is not a ban and yet with this quarantine there were still 927,000 confirmed cases

rerouted to the highest populated areas
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York
Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Illinois
San Francisco International Airport (SFO), California
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Washington
Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), Hawaii
Los Angeles International Airport, (LAX), California
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Georgia
Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), Virginia

NYC had 272,000 confirmed cases
NJ 102,000 confirmed cases
California 389,000 cases
Illinos 39,000

So by directing these flights to these areas seems to beg the question. Was trump order a factor in these states having the highest number of confirmed cases.

Testing in Feb was problematic with not enough test kits and the government decision to ship them to all 50 states equally. Yet the above states were receiving all the people coming from china.

in early February the government distributed 200 test kits it had produced to more than 100 public health labs run by states and counties nationwide. Each test could do about 300 to 400 patients.

So basically NYC gets 4 test kits and Nebraska get 4 test kits and Montana gets 4 test kits. etc

Sounds like a huge mistake

Then Trump does the same thing with masks and sending equal amounts to each state when NY and California have a higher number of cases.

86 percent of confirmed cases was channeled to the 3 states NY, NJ and California based on Trumps executive order. If you factor in the other states, the percentage would be higher which would mean Trump didn't solve anything and just created a huge mess. Then cries that NY is not appreciative of me.

Test kits were late getting to destinations and some test kits failed. Thus the states were required to develop there own tests after the failure of the US government.

Huge mistakes made yet Trump boast the test were beautiful

Huge mistake made to channel a highly contagious disease to the largest populated areas. Then mismanage the test with faulty tests and states receiving to little and other receiving to much based on the redirecting the flights. Is this a ban that Trump boast about. US has the highest number of confirmed cases.

I think Pelosi telling everyone come to crowded Chinatown to show you’re not a racist and De Blasio telling everyone to use the subways had a wee more impact. Just look at where the epicenters of the bug are.

Well if the virus came from China and people coming from China were redirected to NYC then that is how it started.

To get around in NYC you take the subway, cab or bus and that is how many get to work and home again.

Chinese Hospital admitted its first Covid-19 patient on March 26, three weeks after patients had been hospitalized in other parts of San Francisco. As of mid-April, at least 34 cases of Covid-19 had been detected in 22 S.R.O.s around San Francisco, according to figures collected by Mr. Peskin’s office. None of these cases were within those 22 square blocks, although three were on the border of Chinatown.

Hard to believe that Chinatown in San Francisco has very few cases. Seems like Peolosi was right. Yet they were one of the first communities to start doing things to slow down the spread while others were hanging on trumps words of it will go away soon.
