a little background.- 2006 interview jimmy carter

There is a reason Jimmy Carter was a bad President, indeed one of the worst... he is a hopeless romantic.
He desires to see the good in everyone, no matter how bad they actually are.
He believes everyone deserves a chance, even the ones who have repeatedly done wrong, even downright evil things- he will still give them a chance.
This makes him a good person. No one can argue to that fact. But a leader of a nation cannot be so naive and weak.

And BTW - he makes the same mistakes as most world leaders have concerning the Middle East.
They constantly want to implant western ideas and sensibilities into a people who have none of that.
Their sensibilities, ethics and ideas are extremely different than ours.
Bush made the same mistake in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thinking all we have to do is remove the tyrannical leaders - and the people will choose freedom and democracy.
They don't.
It is very difficult for us westerners to understand their way of thinking. We need to stop thinking they want what we want.

Very true, it was Jimmy Carter's liberal compassion that allowed mentally ill people to no longer be incarcerated in asylums that would not only protect the ill, but those around them also. Because of it, more murder, rapes and brutal beatings have occurred since then.

And yes, it was Ronald Reagan who shut down the asylums because if no one was using them, stop wasting the money to keep them open.

i have taken keytruda as well. we live in a time of miracles.

but the bible is not a title deed and these palestinians are people too, get them to a table. make them an offer a little short of "blow off and die." we might be surprised.
Blah, blah, blah, get who to the table? There is no Palestinian leader who can credibly offer peace to Israel, and there never has been. There is no evidence the Palestinians as a people want to live in peace with Israel and there never has been.

A Palestinian state in the territories was never a Palestinian demand; it was a European fairy tale with a happy ending that, unfortunately, Clinton bought into, but for the last 100 years, the Palestinian demand has always been all of Israel, from the river to the sea.

In 2000, Israel offered the Palestinians 93% of the territories with a Palestinian controlled overpass connecting Gaza to the West Bank, and they responded with the second intifada. Why did Arafat not accept that offer? His key demand was the right of return of all descendants of all the Arabs who lived in Israel between 1946 and 1948, which would have overwhelmed the Jews and turned Israel into an Arab state. There was never a time in the last 100 years when the Palestinians as a people were willing to live in peace with Israel.

Again, Hamas, and the people who support them which are the vast majority, are at war with Israel.

A cease fire only gives them time to regroup, they will never stop fighting.

In short, there is no acceptable 2 nation solution for the people of Gaza, only the destruction of the Zionist state will do.

Lolol 😂😂😂 right. The Zionists have no choice.
