A Labour government will immediately recognise the state of Palestine.

"Approximately 80,000 illegal immigrants reached Palestine during 1945-48"
Aliyah Bet (1939-1948)

The immigration question in those days concerned “aliya bet,” the campaign to bring undocumented Jewish immigrants from Europe to British Mandatory Palestine. This was an effort initiated by Irgun Zvai Leumi, the Palestine underground militia associated with Revisionist Zionist leader Ze’ev Jabotinsky. With Nazism spreading across Europe and the British restricting the entry of Jews to the Holy Land, the Irgun began landing shiploads of Jewish refugees at deserted coastal sites late at night, out of view of British patrols.

One thousand pardons, Effendi. When you were whining about some invasion you claim occurred, I just assumed you were babbling incoherently. And, as it turned out, you were.

Carry on.

From your link
The Israeli propaganda line is that the Palestinians are natural, intrinsic terrorists who are always attacking Israelis out of blind hatred for Jews and who casually deploy terrorism on a mass scale and refuse to recognize the inexorability and naturalness of several million European and North African and other Jews living in Palestine.

Perhaps Sen. Sanders would not agree with what I am going to say. But this narrative ignores that in 1800 there were virtually no Jews in Palestine. It ignores that the Jewish settlers in British Mandate Palestine derailed British plans for a Palestinian state by 1949 (as put forward in the 1939 White Paper), in accordance with all the other Class A Mandates established at and after the Versailles Peace Conference that ended World War I. That is, the French Mandate of Syria became Syria and Syrians have Syrian citizenship, the British Mandate of Iraq became Iraq and Iraqis have Iraqi citizenship. Even Class B Mandates became independent countries and their inhabitants became citizens– Tanganyika became Tanzania and Zanzibar, Ruanda-Urundi became Rwanda and Burundi. Why did not the Mandate of Palestine result in a state of Palestine in which the Palestinians were citizens?

You never thanked (or attributed), Juan Cole for what you plagiarized from his site.

Why did not the Mandate of Palestine result in a state of Palestine in which the Palestinians were citizens?

The Mandate for Palestine did end up in an independent Arab/Muslim state within the borders of the Mandate. Even though it was carved out of the Mandate for Palestine, we will never know for sure why it was never called Palestine. It ended up being called Jordan instead where the Palestinians were granted citizenship.

Not so much. I just pointed out the material you plagiarized from his site and your sleazy refusal to acknowledge your plagiarism.
Nah you refuse to entertain the idea of a link, the only thing pointed out is your lack of credibility

Do you mean the links I gave you earlier?

It did, in Jordan.
The Arabs who didn't run away in 1949 are citizens and can vote.
How many Arabs in neighboring countries get to vote?

Jordan was never a part of Palestine, nor was it ever meant for the Palestinians. It was the southernmost province of the Arab Kingdom of Syria, ruled by the Hashemites, until the French attacked the Kingdom's capital, Damascus, and conquered the northern part.

Most of the Hashemite royal family fled to the southern province, named Trans Jordania by the Europeans, and agreed to British tutelage and help for a few years prior to regaining full independence. The territory was always intended for the Hashemite Arabians, not the Palestinians, who are not Arabians.

The vast majority of the Muslims and Christians that are ruled by Israel cannot vote just like the non-whites in Apartheid South Africa. The Israeli Jews, just like the South African whites, pretend that the WB and Gaza are self-governing and not under Jew control like the South African whites claimed the Bantustans were self-governing.

Also, because the Arabs who lived in the Palestine Mandate rejected the 2 state solution at that time, and in many subsequent times as well.

"The simple-minded Zionist talking point that the British split their Mandate into Palestine and Jordan, and that Jordan is Palestine, is historically laughable and does not answer the question of why the Palestinians don’t have a state of their own and why over 5 million of them are stateless, lacking the rights of citizenship in any state. The Bernie Sanders Miracle: American Crowd in Brooklyn Cheers Palestinian Dignity

Of course they rejected the partition. One third of the Palestinian people would have been stuck in the partition that would be ruled by Jews, though the Christians and Muslims in the Jewish partition, with the Bedouins, represented the majority of the population within the proposed Jewish partition. And that is not considering that the Jews, representing less than a third of the population of Palestine were given more than 50% of the land.

Why did not the Mandate of Palestine result in a state of Palestine in which the Palestinians were citizens?

It did. It was re-named Israel.

But the Arab Palestinian citizens and the neighboring Arab nations started a war against that State. A war they continue today and are still losing today.

If they want yet another State (or two) -- it can be done, but they have to give up the war first.

How many can vote who are citizens of Israel?

If they weren't such assholes, they'd have a much better chance of self-government.

They didn't split the Mandate?

and that Jordan is Palestine, is historically laughable

I agree, the idea of another failed Arab state named Palestine is laughable.

does not answer the question of why the Palestinians don’t have a state of their own

Mostly because they suck.

and why over 5 million of them are stateless

Mostly because their fellow Arabs suck.

How many Arabs in neighboring countries get to vote?" I would say all of them

Lots of elections in those Arab countries?
